View the current issue of the TCW Neighborhood News on the 1st day of each month at www.PEELinc.com TCW NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS Over 60 people showed up for the first ever TCW Diwali Party on Nov. 10! A variety of Indian delicacies—including palak paneer, samosas, chole, and more were devoured by guests. Many neighbors dressed to the nines in gorgeous saris, salwar kameez, and kurta pajamas, and all the ladies enjoyed wearing bindis and bangles. Hema Raja performed a spectacular Bharatnatyam classical dance, which wowed the audience. Lakshmi Ramachandran dazzled folks with mehndi (henna art) skills. The highlight for the kids was lighting sparklers to light up the night air. And of course, the array of traditional Diwali sweets and the group dancing added to the festivity of this event. Many neighbors commented that this party was a great way to get to know each other and celebrate the cultures in TCW. First TCW Diwali Party Sparkles!
