This construction system allows a structured realization of various types of buildings.

The TCS Construction System is comprised of EPS panels that are 130 mm thick. These panels provide continuous

thermal and acoustic insulation. Reinforcing steel is placed horizontaly and verticaly on connectors that are supplied inside the block. This is a simple process that avoids the traditional system of specialized iron fabrication work.

This system includes two types of plastics, expanded polystyrene (EPS) and high density recycled plastic. Each block has two side panels made of flame retardant EPS which provide an inner and an outer surface ready for application of finishing materials. There are connector elements between the two side panels which form the blocks.

TCS panels have several location to attach the connectors, which allows the blocks to be cut in almost any place vertically, horizontally, or at any angle while still maintaining a strong and stable form. The length of the connector is variable which allows for different wall thicknesses. The space between the panels is filled witih concrete to make the structural walls of the building. After the concrete cures, the TCS panels remain in place and provide the building insulation.

With panels connected, the blocks are embedded into columns according to what is defined by the project. Using the TCS system, can build up horizontal and vertical surfaces, perfectly leveled, uniform and ready to receive any desired final finish, eliminating the traditional plaster.

STEP 1

FOUNDATION CONSTRUCTION

The assembly of the raft foundation is made in a simple manner, including all necessary infrastructure, and leaving a clean, flat surface for stacking the TCS blocks. Reinforcing steel bars are also bulit in the foundation so that the walls can be anchored to it.

STEP 2

STACKING OF THE BLOCKS

The blocks are stacked in a sequential manner, incorporating reinforcing bar that is defined by calculation. TCS panels have several locations to attach the connectors which allowing the blocks to be cut in almost any place vertically, horizontally, or at any angle while maintaining a strong and stable form. The EPS panels and connectors are quickly and easily assembled on site.

STEP 3

TCS BLOCKS BRACED

After stacking the blocks, the walls are braced with support elements, which serve not only to allow a complete alignment of the walls, but to serve as scaffolds to support workers during concreting.

STEP 4

CONCRETE WALLS

The connectors that join the two TCS panels come in varying lengths. Depending on rquirements, the wall thickness can be increased or reduced as desired. After concrete curing, the TCS panels remain in place and provide insulation to the building.The concrete is placed in the wall at one time, creating a monolithic, high-strength structural wall that contains no cold work joints.

STEP 5

INSTALLATION OF ELECTICAL AND PLUMBING SYSTEMS

After curing of the concrete, plumbing and electrical installations can begin. The foam is easy to cut and remove so that these facilities can be installed.The plumbing and electrical infrastructure are installed in the inner face of the TCS Construction System block. Easy installation is made possible by the design of the block which allows for foam to be cut both horizontally and vertically, while protecting the plumbing and electrical works after installation.

STEP 6

FINISHING THE WALLS

The TCS system is easy to use because it eliminates several steps that are required in traditional construction.A matrix of high density plastic is used to provide a stable and uniform location on the walls to attach any finish mechanically. Whether the finish choice is by mechanical or chemical adhesion, there is no limit to the finishes. Stucco, grafiato, stone, marble, wood or metal – all can be accomodated by the TCS system. Any wall shape can also be accomodated – including angled or curved walls using simple techniques for mitreing blocks.
