Abanotubani is the ancient district of Tbilisi, Georgia, known for its sulfuric baths.Located at the eastern bank of the Mtkvari River at the foot of Narikala fortress across Metekhisubani. Abanotubani is animportant historical part of the city — the place, where according to a legend the King of Iberia, Vakhtang Gorgasali’s falcon fell, leading to a discovery of the hot springs and, subsequently, to founding of a new capital.

Visit The Mtatsminda Pantheon, which is a necropolis in Tbilisi,

Georgia, where some of the most prominent writers, artists, scholars, and national heroes of Georgia are buried. It is located

in the churchyard around St. David’s Church and was officially

established in 1929. The first celebrities to be buried at this place were the Russian writer Alexander Griboyedov and his

Georgian wife Nino Chavchavadze.
