The NZAS seek to empower individuals with the knowledge, skills and qualifications to contribute to sustainable economic, social and political development within ASEAN nations. We welcome applicants from Indonesia who can demonstrate leadership qualities or potential for future leadership, and academic excellence from the public and private sectors including government departments, civil society, universities, business, development-focused organisations and charitable foundations. We welcome your support for these applicants with respect to: • Facilitation and employer's endorsement for the application process; • Releasing staff from their duties for the minimum time required to complete the nominated course of study and any bridging course and/or English language training required as a pre-condition to the nominated course of study; • Ensuring staff will return to Indonesia upon completion of their scholarships for a minimum period of two years in order to contribute to Indonesia's social and economic development. The NZAS priorities are aligned with the New Zealand Aid Programme Country Strategy 2012-2016 and preference is provided to candidates whose study interests are in the areas of Agriculture Development, Renewable Energy, Disaster Risk Management, Public Sector Management, Private Sector Development and English language teaching. Applications are due by 30 April 2015 and should be submitted to the NZAS Managing Service contractor who will be visiting your organisation to promote the scholarships during the period of March - April.
