Today is Thursday, April 6, 2017. The baseball program is running a Stand Up to Cancer fundraiser to help 3 local families pay for part of their cancer treatments. You can purchase a Stand Up to Cancer card for $3 to represent someone you know whom has been effected by cancer, or you can simply donate to the cause. See Coach Light or Coach Wisneski during lunch to buy a card or make a donation. If we raise $3,000 then Coach Wisneski will shave his head during lunch one afternoon in the courtyard. Representatives from the Florida College System, State University System, Florida Department of Education and others will showcase information to Florida high school juniors and seniors, parents and school counselors. This no cost, live event will feature presentations from experts in the areas of college preparation, admissions, financial aid and more. Prior to the day of the presentations, FloridaShines will provide online resources to prepare students with additional materials. After the live events, FloridaShines will showcase presentation recordings and follow-up information to connect students and parents with their institutions of interest.
