Theme or focus of images All of these images are landscape photographs of extremely rural images. I think the photographer really captures the beauty and fascination of the natural and most cases untouched places of the world. Each of his images astonish and amaze me as they are so captivating and make the audience want to simply gaze at them. I think he creates an even more dramatic and powerful image through the post production, by making them black and white it gives a striking shot. I also think that he enhances the darker colours and brings out the light, to define every detail of the mountains and lakes producing a very interesting and impressive image.CompositionThe photographer must often have to go to great lengths to capture the perfect image from the perfect angle, for example flying in a helicopter to create a bird’s eye view of the landscape. I think that he would have to pick a certain day with the perfect weather etc to make the exact shots he wants. In most of his photographs, they are shot on cloudy days which I think creates a very dramatic and effective look to the images, which he then goes on

to enhance in post production, again, forming an impressive photograph. Techniques usedI think he uses a high ISO when taking his photographs to define the image and create more detail. I also think allot of time was spent in post production to further define. It would have been difficult and testing to shoot these images as the lighting would change allot so he would have to keep on changing the shutter speed and so on.

Strengths & WeaknessesThere are many strengths of these photographs, as they are dramatic, intense, and extremely interesting to look at, although some of the shots may have been more engaging if colour was used, and enhanced increasing the beauty of the shots
