A summary of my target audience and how to appeal to them.

WHO IS YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE?

Throughout my research I have found out the specific demographic and psychographic of my film trailers’ target audience.

Demographic: Psychographic:

• Both males and females

• Aged 15 to 40, because the rating will most likely be 15

• Working class, to upper class

• Intellectual, because the genre typically requires thinking, and major plot twists, like fight club

• Music• Films• Reading • Socialising• Use of social media

HOW TO APPEAL TO YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE

In order to appeal to my target audience I intend to follow specific conventions such as: • Transitions between the Equilibrium and Disequilibrium through the use of, --

-Camera shots (Low angle vs High angle) -Editing (Slow paced vs Fast paced) -Sounds (Cheerful slow paced vs eerie and fast paced music) -Mise en scene (Costumes and lighting contrasts)

• Scenes including these character and film traits: -Suspense -Intense excitement -High level of anticipation -Expectation -Anxiety -Nerve wrecking tension

•Including common interests of the target audience, such as social media.
