Target Audience

My target audience are males aged from 16 to 21. I have chosen this as my primary target audience because ‘Rock’ music is extremely popular with teenagers. Since there are many artists to choose from it can help to promote individualism.

Genre: Rock

• I have decided to use ‘Rock’ as my genre because it is my favourite style of music. This means that it will be easier for me to create a magazine since I already have knowledge on the topic.

Appearance

• As you can see that the appearance of ‘rock’ in clothing varies greatly it can be a tailored suit to rugged hair and a band shirt.

Secondary Audience

• My secondary audience for my music magazine will be females aged around 16-21 because Rock does not appeal just to males.

Occupation

• My target audience will be middleclass/low class people. They would either be students in college/university or just starting work or in an apprenticeship. Since my range begins at 16 most of the people will be at school and might just have a Saturday job because of studying.

Motivation

• My motivation for creating this magazine is that it will appeal to people who enjoy listening to ‘Rock’ music therefore I would be happy to create a magazine since it would reach out to people who have very similar taste to me.
