Magazine price

• In conclusion I will charge my magazine at £3.99, the reason for this being it is the same price like other magazines of its kind. Also it is more aimed at younger people who might be still in full time education and hasn’t reached their career goal so they may not be able to afford it if its priced higher. It will be produced monthly also for this reason. I came up with this conclusion mainly after carrying out my survey.

Planning for my magazine cover features

The colour scheme for my magazine will be reds, white and black. The reasons for this is because the 3 magazines I looked at for this genre all follow this colour scheme therefore shows it is a conventional element. The red connotes danger and could symbolise the devil. This is relevant as hip hop is seen to be deviant and explicit. The lyrics used in hip hop is also seen as scary and ‘in your face’. The black and white could have been put in to show contrast and to make certain words stand out. The font should also be bold for emphasis. The font style should have a variety to make the page more interesting, the fonts I were considering to use were:

My magazine will be published monthly so that it becomes more popular and people can buy it throughout the month. This has been done as the main target audience (uni students, 18-27 year olds) may not have time to go buy this every week or may not be able to afford it every week. It shall be priced at £3.99
