Mrs Murray and I also attended an Early Action for Success conference in Sydney on Thursday 19th March regarding Inquiry based learning. I would like to wish all our students and their families a wonderful, safe and happy Easter Holidays. NANGA MAI AWARD for MRS CLAPSON Last week Mrs Clapson and I travelled to Sydney to attend the prestigious education awards. Mrs Clapson received an award for her Outstanding Contribution to Educational Achievement by a Non–Aboriginal Staff Member. A very proud moment for Mrs Clapson as she has worked tirelessly and is a worthy recipient. Narelle has a passion for “closing the gap” in learning outcomes for Aboriginal students. She has known and taught several generations of families dur- ing her tireless service. Many of the stu- dents now at TPS are the grandchildren and children of stu- dents she has en- gaged with in her time as a teacher. Pictured—Mrs Clapson with her award & certifi- cate.
