The image selected is Oscar Oiwa’s “Oiwa Island 2” for the 2016 Setouchi Triennale exhibition.

My visit to Merri Creek was refreshing because of the landscape and activity in the community. Upon entering Merri Creek, I didn’t know where to look because there was so much to take in and I feel that this image portrays the same feelings.

The arrangement of density and void, foreground and background represents what Merri Creek feels like in my opinion.
