TALLENTEX Allen’s Tallent Encouragement Exam 2019 is a specially designed initiative to
encourage young talents with cash prizes, scholarships and mentoring by ALLEN Career Institute.
Students of Class V to VII appeared for this exam on 28th October.
For encouraging the students, a Quiz was also organized by Tallentex in which 6 students of our
school received silver coins as a reward.
ASSET organized a Pilot project of a subject based exam for Class V to VII. Students solved the
subject specific test and the individual report of every child was prepared and discussed with the
concerned teachers.
A National Level Competition conducted by Discovery Channel associated with BYJU’S Learning
App – DSSL (Discovery School Super League) 2018 was organized in the School Campus in which
kids of Class IV to VII participated. Two of our students, Ahsana Siddhiqui of Class VI in Category I
& Vikas Barodiya of Class VII in Category II cleared the first round of the exam. The second round is
scheduled on 13th Jan 2019.

Other activities held today were :
*‘Nature’s Impression’ activity for ‘Wonderland’ kids.
*A surprise Garba for all students.
DWPS Staff Members took part in 'Polling Awareness Rally'.
Special Swimming & Taekwondo classes by professional trainers started for students who were
interested in these activities
‘Cleanathon’, an awareness drive for casting one's franchise properly and judiciously for a clean
government , is the demand of the time, same as is the need of keeping our surroundings clean and
pollution free.
Thus, DWPS, Ashta kids with their teachers, took the great initiative for both the noble causes by taking
out a Rally and performing Street Plays in the streets of Ashta.
The School , in its effort for a clean and pollution free surroundings, also got some beautiful plants
planted at focal areas, got huge pots with plants placed at different places, dust bins installed and even
cotton bags distributed .The students also raised the demand for making Parvati River, the life line of
Ashta, pollution free.
The students' attempt was widely appreciated, greeted & welcomed by all.
DWPS Ashta, Students assembled to mark the festival of light “Deepawali” on 3rd Nov. The venue was
decorated with beautiful Rangoli & Diyas to mark the festival. On this occasion, Atishi, Class VI narrated a
beautiful poem “Ek Diya Jalta Rahe”, Ahsana Siddiqui, Class VI gave tips for celebrating green Diwali,
while Arham Class I & Jay Khandelwal, Class II expressed their views.
Nursery to Class I Students were also conferred as “Stars of the Month”(October).
The Principal lauded the students Kanishka Rankaushal for Winning Gold Medal in 7th MTA National
Karate Championship organized by Tao Association of Martial Art India, held at BSI Ground, Sehore (M.P)
on 27th & 28thOctober 2018. Kushagra Rankaushal & Kartikey Rankaushal both of Class IV also got
Participation Certificate in the same.
Students of Class VA, VB, VI &VII also participated in Digital
Rangoli &Greeting Card Making Competition.
The Teachers planned a fun-filled informative program for the school students on the occasion of Children’s
Day. Whereas Preeti Sengar Ma’am dressed like Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru provided information about Nehru ji,
other teachers presented a song mash-up, a hilarious mime, and vibrant dance to entertain the kids. Children
responded enthusiastically on the questions based on Nehruji's life asked by the Principal Mrs.Sangita Sood
and those who answered correctly were awarded by the Director Mr. Bahadur Singh, Mrs. Payal Ali and the
Principal.
Apart from Stage Show, an ‘Adventure Sports’ planned by Sports Faculty for the students of Class II to VII,
tingled the adventurous nerve of the students.
Students of Class III to VII also participated in “Colour Your World” Competition and expressed their feelings
colorfully on the topics ‘Go Green & Save the Earth’ and ‘Uses of Technology or Your World’.
“Wonderland “ Kids enjoyed the movie Kung Fu Panda and danced with full zeal on various children songs.
Before departure, the kids enjoyed eating light snacks provided by the School.
“Focus on the journey, not the destination, Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it”.
‘Wonderland’ kids enjoyed ‘Balloon Pop up’ and ‘Alphabets Decoration’, such activities not only make
kids learn in a fun filled manner but also improve their gross motor skills.
It’s compulsory to exercise one’s franchise,thus,to make children aware about the importance
of every vote, so that they can implore their parents to cast their vote, a comic play and a ‘mock
poll’ was organized____this also enabled the kids to have an idea of the process of voting.
Class IV students had also made beautiful EVMs in their EVS project and the one made by
Param Jain, which not only flashed the light but also beeped on casting the vote, was used for
the mock poll.
Students of Class VI & VII also wrote letters to their parents under the ’ Voter Awareness
Campaign’.
Impressed by the EVMs,
School Director Syed Pravez Ali declared free of cost picnic for Class IV students as a reward.
One of the most awaited events is the School Picnics. And here, the fun begins : The School
organized picnics for all Classes.
On the first day of the picnic,24th November, the tiny tots of Prep and Ist were taken to
Radha di Dhani, Sehore, a picnic spot depicting Rajasthani culture. Kids were welcomed by
dhol beats, enjoyed the puppet show, songs, danced to their heart in Disco and enjoyed
sumptuous lunch.
Whereas students of Class 2nd to 4th went to Yodhasthal, Bhopal for an Educational
excursion cum Picnic. It is an Indian Army dedicated museum that aims to delineate their
lives and war scenarios. Students saw all sorts of machines and guns decked up in separate
sections in the complex with an appealing park around. They were also shown a short film
based on the historical value of the military. They were highly appreciated by the Armymen
for their discipline.
On the second day of the picnic, 25th November, students of class V to VII went to several
important places of Bhopal. The students paid a visit to the sprawling and scenic campus of
Raj Bhawan- the official residence of the honorable Governor. They also visited the Tribal
Museum and learned about the distinct masterpieces, tribal living, aesthetics and spiritual
beliefs of various tribes of India. Whereas, at State Museum they saw the splendid collection
of antiques retrieved from various excavated sites of M.P. as paintings, handicrafts, musical
instruments, figurines and other important articrafts having historical significance. They
spent their day in intellectual learning and adored the new places they visited.
All the students were also offered snacks by the School.
An activity “One Nation Reading Together “ was conducted at DWPS, Ashta premises by
Scholastic India to join Nationwide Reading Campaign on 30th November 2018. It
encourages the love of books among the students and boosts their reading and
understanding capacity. Students of Classes I to VII pledged in Hindi and English along with
the teachers and expressed and shared their thoughts through Graffiti walls. Later all the
students together read their favorite books with their friends.
