Colossians 4: 1-6• Masters, give to your slaves what is just
and equal, knowing that you also have a Master in Heaven.
• Continue in prayer and watch in it with thanksgiving,
• praying together about us also, that God may open to us a door of the Word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I also have been bound,
• that I may make it clear, as I ought to speak.
• Walk in wisdom toward those on the outside, redeeming the time.
• Let your speech be always with grace, having been seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.

Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow-servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things about me.
I sent him to you for this very purpose, that he might know the things about you, and that he might comfort your hearts,
along with Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known to you all things here.
Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (regarding whom you received commandments; if he comes to you, receive him),
and greetings from Jesus, who is called Justus, those being of the circumcision. These alone are my fellow-workers for the kingdom of God, who became a comfort to me.
Epaphras greets you, he being of you, a servant of Christ, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

• For I bear him record that he has a great zeal for you and for those who are in Laodicea and those in Hierapolis.
• Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.
• Greet the brothers who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church in his house.
• And when this letter is read before you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you also read the letter of Laodicea.
• And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you fulfill it.
• The salutation of Paul, by my own hand. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.
Introduction
• Colossians is one of the epistles Paul wrote during his first Roman imprisonment. The others are Ephesians, Philippians, and Philemon.
• The church at Colosse was probably started during Paul’s third missionary journey.
• The church in Colosse may have met in the home of Philemon, for he lived at Colosse with one of his slaves, Onesimus (Col. 4:9 and the book of Philemon).

And say to Archippus (Colossians 4:17)
• This person the apostle calls his fellow soldier, in Philemon 1:2 ( فل معنا المتجند (2: 1أرخبس
• He was now the minister of the Gospel at Colosse, • While Paul’s fellow minister, or co-pastor Epaphras,
being at Rome, and a prisoner there• Archippus was negligent in his office, they are called
upon to say unto him, “take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it”
Romans 12: 4-8For even as we have many members in one body, and all members do not have the same function, so we the many are one body in Christ, and each one members of one another. Then having gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, if prophecy, according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, in the ministry; or he who teaches, in the teaching; or he who exhorts, in the encouragement; or he who shares, in simplicity; or he who takes the lead, in diligence; or he who shows mercy, in cheerfulness.
11And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ

Fulfilling Your MinistryWhat it is Not
• It is not about counting how many things I am involved in
• It is not about spending time watching Christian channels
• It is not about how much money I paid in the offering
• It is not about supporting my family, working hard to earn a living, or attending the church
20
Fulfilling Your MinistryWhat it is
• It is about taking up my cross daily and following Christ• It is about how much I am led by the Holy Spirit• It is about “I am fulfilling” God’s ministry and plans as
led by the Holy Spirit• It is about knowing my Spiritual gifts and applying
them for the edifying of the church• It is about living your life for the Lord, walking with
Him• It is knowing that your life, your time are for Him. • It is knowing that you are a steward of the Lord on
earth 21
The Lord’s Guarantee if you get tired
• Mat 11:28 “Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
.أ• Mat 11:29 Take My yoke on you and learn of Me, for I
am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light. واض!ع ومت ود!يع[ ي ن أل ي م!ن $موا عل وت م ك ي عل !ير!ي ن وا !حم!ل ا . وح!مل!ي ن[ هي !ير!ي ن ن$ أل م ك فوس! !ن ل Iاحة ر ج!دوا فت قلب! ال .«خف!يف[
• 2Co 12:9 And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.
• We need to change our lives and organize it differently• We need to organize our lives around Christ, His church, and
the mission He has given us• If you are not involved today take a step back and change
your schedule and priorities. • Put Christ and His service first on your life schedule.• Let all other things follow Christ’ schedule• Stop many things that are hindering your ministry• Discover you spiritual gift(s) and use it to serve Him• Do the ministry that He prepared for you to do• Always be led by the Holy Spirit• Pray and read the Word, seek God’s council• Pray with the pastor or other leaders and seek assurance 23
