In the event of the Insured Person is diagnosed to be suffering from a critical illness within the period of insurance, the Company will subject to the terms and conditions as stated in the policy and agree to pay the benefit amount up to 100% of the Sum Insured to the Proposer. • Early Stage Cancer Benefits If Insured Person is diagnosed to be suffering from an Early Stage Cancer within the period of insurance, the Company will subject to the terms and conditions as stated in the policy and agree to pay an one-off lump sum benefit equivalent to 20% of the Sum Insured to the Proposer. This policy will remain in force and the Major Illness benefit will be reduced by the same amount paid to this benefit. • One-off Lump Sum If the Insured Person is suffered from the critical illness under the policy during the period of insurance, the Company will pay the Proposer an one-off lump sum net of any Early Stage Cancer (if applicable) benefit and the liability of the Company hereunder is limited to and shall cease upon such settlement. • 21-Day Insurance Cooling-off Period The Proposer has right to cancel this policy and notify in writing to the Company within 21 days after the policy effective date. If no claim has been made by the Insured Person under the policy during this period, all premium paid to the Company will be refunded. • Guaranteed Renewal* and Cover up to 80 Years Old Wide range of Insured age from 6 months to 50 years old, and the Company guarantee renewal up to 79 years old*. • Low Premium and Simplified Underwriting Simple health declaration, no medical examination is required. • Extended Protection On top of providing sickness cover, the policy is further extended to cover loss of limbs, deafness, blindness, paralysis or loss of language ability that are caused by accident or injury. Despite anything stated in this policy, the Company shall not be liable to pay for any Illness, resulting directly or indirectly from or caused or contributed by (in whole or in part) any of the following: 1. Any pre-existing condition unless such conditions have been fully disclosed during the application and accepted by the Company in writing and the treatment relating to such pre-existing condition is not expressly excluded by the policy; or 2. The Insured Person is Diagnosed with an Illness or the Insured Person has shown signs or symptoms of any Illness, disease or physical condition which may be the cause or triggering condition of an Illness within 90 days from the Policy Effective Date as specified in the first Policy Schedule from which the coverage under this insurance becomes effective continuously without intermission; or 3. Any drug or alcohol abuse; or 4. Engaging in aviation other than as a fare-paying passenger in an aircraft provided and operated by an airline or air charter company which is duly licensed for the regular transportation of fare-paying passengers; 5. Engaging in military, air force, naval and other disciplinary services; or 6. Participating or engaging in dangerous activities, including but not limited to bungee jumping, glide-kite, glider, winter sports, parachuting, torrent rafting, diving with the use of breathing apparatus, mountaineering, rock climbing, sports in a professional capacity or where the Insured Person would or could earn income or remuneration from engaging in such sport etc. ; or 7. War, hostilities (whether war is declared or not), rebellion, insurrection, riot, civil commotion, terrorist act, nuclear contamination, biological contamination or chemical contamination; or 8. Disease or infection with any Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and/or any HIV- related Illness, except the Human Immunodeficiency Virus due to blood transfusion, Occupationally acquired Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) as referred to in PART 3-DEFINITION OF ILLNESSES of this policy; or 9. Congenital malformation or abnormal; or 10. Suicide, any deliberate self-induced behaviour, regardless of whether it is normal sanity and whether intoxication; or 11. All supporting documents relevant to the Illness covered by this Policy and the entitlement to benefits must be furnished to the Company at the expense of the claimant within thirty days from the date of which the Illness is Diagnosed. 2. Provided that the claimant could provide good reason to demonstrate that it is not reasonably practicable to adduce the supporting documents within the time limit and the claimant has provided “the Company” such supporting documents as soon as practicable, the claim shall not be invalidated. However, in no circumstances shall the supporting documents be adduced later than one hundred and eighty days upon the demand of “the Company”.
