The Taiwanese Menopause Society was founded in March 1995 with Professor Ko-En Huang serving as the founding president. Currently, there are 300 active members, who mostly are engaged in gynecology practice. The major activities of this Society are to provide updated

information and guidelines on menopause care to both the health-care providers and the public. The main objective is to ensure postmenopausal women in Taiwan can enjoy good health and quality of life. The Taiwanese Menopause Society has been a member of the International Menopause Society (IMS) and our members have actively participated in many international menopausal meetings worldwide. Members continuously contribute to the Board, provide specific perspectives and care for the needs of Asian menopausal women.
