1 General This document describes the new features of MTpro version 3.4.2.0 as com-pared to MTpro 3.4.0.1. The MTpro update can be downloaded and installed directly from Internet us-ing the built-in update function (full MTpro installation, Internet connection and administrator privileges are required). Depending on the option settings MTpro can check automatically, if updates are available. To run the update manually, invoke the command “Check for updates…“ in MTpro’s help menu and follow the directions of the update wizard.

2.1 Switch between product hierarchies with the new drop down field
The product hierarchy was extended with a drop down field which makes it easier to switch between MTpro product catalog and user catalog.
Depending on your selection, either the entries from the integrated product catalogs or the user-defined products will be shown in the product data list.

5.3 Rendering types Similar to the selection of render types for CAD models, it is now possible to select the rendering type inside Layout Designer. The following rendering types are available:
5.4 Save view The new illustration capabilities – perspective, transparency and rendering type – are also applied when saving the Layout Designer view. Additionally, the background color is included in the exported picture.

5.5 Fixation of measure lines
Now it is possible to adjust measure lines in a new measure line editor win-dow. You are able to overwrite the measured distance to align parts in a cer-tain distance Additionally, measure lines now can be locked to hold the measured distance. With this feature parts and assemblies can be connected without being snapped.
To lock measure lines, first create a measure line and double click on it with the left mouse button. The measure line editor window will appear where you can overwrite the distance. The part, which was clicked last during the crea-tion of the measure line, will be moved. The other part stays in its place.
It is possible to switch the part to be moved by clicking on . With “Lock Measure Line” the distance between the measured parts will be fixed, for example to move both parts together.

5.6 TFE Transfer-Function-Entity for TS 1 The Transfer-Function-Entities already known from TS 2plus are now also available in TS 1.
TFEs are used to insert transport control elements for a specific transfer func-tion (outfeed/infeed to transversal/ longitudinal section etc.) in one entity.
A TFE consists of several transport control elements, which are grouped in an assembly.
In addition to the known features, the TS 1 TFEs can also be adjusted to the work piece pallet orientation by clicking on the work piece pallet symbol on the Transfer-Function-Entity. With this it is possible to consider the arrangement of switch elements on the work piece pallet.

5.7 Introduction of the new template library
In addition to the existing user library, the Lay-out Designer now has a new template library which will be used to provide selected compo-nents. Initially, components for Hydraulics training sys-tems have been included, which can be insert-ed via drag and drop into any Layout Designer drawing. The new template library can be found beneath the “Library” tab:
