Slide 2 T HE 7 P RINCIPLES OF C REATION 1 Slide 3 T HERE SEEM TO BE T WO C ORE F RAMEWORKS THAT MAINTAIN THE HEALTH AND GUIDE THE DEVELOPMENT OF HUMANITY Wholehearted, virtuous human The Principles of Creation = H EALTHY HUMAN USES SOUND PRINCIPLES TO CREATE A HEALTHY FAMILY, BUSINESS, CHURCH OR REACH GOALS W E CAN CALL THESE P RINCIPLES : P RINCIPLES OF C REATION And 2 Slide 4 T HE KEY SECTIONS IN THE P RINCIPLE OF C REATION T HE 1 ST C HAPTER OF THE D IVINE PRINCIPLE - CAN BE USED AS A FRAMEWORK FOR UNDERSTANDING THESE PRINCIPLES OF C REATION There are at least 7 principles that all organisms and organisations use in unison in order to maintain health and achieve their goals. Throughout history people and organisations have used these principles to a greater or lesser extent to achieve personal or organisational success. People have found these 7 principles through trial and error through using common sense 3 Slide 5 THE 7 PRINCIPLES OF C REATION Plants and animals also use these 7 Principles either through grand design or because they are fundamental to health. What this means is that both humans and nature use the same core principles to achieve their goals and to maintain health in their systems. One cannot fall or traumatize the 7 Principles of Creation. One can apply them, get better at applying them or not apply them 4 Slide 6 7 KEY SECTIONS IN THE P RINCIPLE OF C REATION 1 ST CHAPTER OF THE D IVINE P RINCIPLE 1Gods dual essence of Mind - Body 2Gods dual essence of Masculine - Feminine 3Give and take around a common base 4Love, beauty, joy and meaning 5Human value 6Stages of Growth 7Our spirit grows through vitality elements through receiving feedback 5 Slide 7 T HESE 7 KEY SECTIONS CAN BE TRANSFORMED INTO THE 7 P RINCIPLES OF C REATION 1The Principle of Identity 2The Principle of Diverse Inputs 3The Principle of Give and Take 4The Principle of Including Love, Beauty, Truth, Goodness, Joy and Meaning 5The Principle of Respect 6The Principle of Growth of the Whole through Growth of the Individual 7The Principle of Feedback 6 Slide 8 P RINCIPLE 1 T HE P RINCIPLE OF I DENTITY Mind Clear idea of identity Clear goal or plan Body Now we can use our resources to get there Now we have a direction to head our company in Now I can align my life style to achieve my goals To be successful, the first principle asks us to have a clear idea of what we want to achieve, what we want to become. 7 Slide 9 P RINCIPLE 2: T HE P RINCIPLE OF D IVERSE I NPUTS Masculinity Husband Father Femininity Wife Mother 8 We best achieve our identity or goals through Involving the skills, ideas and talents of a variety of people The family is the fundamental place where this principle applies Slide 10 P RINCIPLE 3 T HE P RINCIPLE OF G IVE AND T AKE A CTION W ITH A COMMON VISION IN PLACE - DIVERSE INPUTS CAN THEN Diverse input Diverse Input to create strategies, policies and communication processes that maintain the health or development of the identity or goal Discuss and plan 9 Slide 11 P RINCIPLE 4 T HE NEED FOR TRUTH, BEAUTY, GOODNESS, JOY AND MEANING Humans are more than seekers of practicality. We consistently seek for truth, beauty, goodness, joy and meaning in almost everything we do or create. We enjoy the beauty of nature, our best films seek to understand goodness, our universities seek for truth, joy is probably our deepest goal and we seek meaning in our lives. 10 Slide 12 P RINCIPLE 5 T HE P RINCIPLE OF R ESPECT DIVINE VALUE As humans we find we do best when we are treated with respect and those around us also have best outcomes when we treat them with respect. All human systems that maintain health and flourish over a long period of time do so through the process of each stakeholder respecting the rights and needs of ALL the other key stakeholders in the eco-system 11 Slide 13 P RINCIPLE 6 G ROWTH OF THE WHOLE THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE INDIVIDUAL All systems mature or goals come to fruition through the growth and maturation of smaller parts of that system In nature, a pride of lions grows in power as the health of each individual lion increases As a baby grows in the womb, each individual aspect of the body grows to complete the whole If just one member of a work team matures, the whole team benefits 12 Slide 14 P RINCIPLE 7 T HE P RINCIPLE OF M AINTAINING H EALTH AND C ONTINUAL G ROWTH THROUGH F EEDBACK As human beings we constantly receive feedback from our actions or words. This feedback can be as a result of self-reflection, through the response of others, or through outcomes Feedback can be positive or negative but either can be helpful as a pathway to growth In nature feedback systems are everywhere. E.g.: Choosing a mate; are small evolutionary steps useful or not; etc 13 Slide 15 7 P RINCIPLES OF C REATION IN A MARITAL SETTING 1Identity: Marriage fidelity, school of love, eternal, 2Diverse Inputs: Masculinity and Femininity helps create a home and with parenting. Many books 3Give and Take: Communicate, common vision around finances, children, roles, leisure, etc. Many books 4Love, Beauty, Joy, Truth or Meaning: Dating, romancing, serving community, honesty, etc. Books 5Respect: No infidelity or abuse; no addictions; keep away from divorce. Many books 6Growth of the Whole through Growth of the Individual: Keep learning books, seminars, etc 7Feedback: Praise, room for growth complaints, etc 14 Slide 16 7 P RINCIPLES OF C REATION IN A B USINESS SETTING 1Identity: Brand name, product or service, etc 2Diverse Inputs: Who to hire. Diversity in age, experience, sex, race, profession.. Also win-win contracts, no sexual or racial harassment, etc 6Growth of the Whole through Growth of the Individual: Keep training staff and managers 7Feedback: from customers, staff, product errors, etc 15 Slide 17 T HE 7 PRINCIPLES OF C REATION IN N ATURE (A FLOWER ) 1. Identity what kind of flower am I 2. The masculine and feminine create this flower 3. Various elements inside the flower work together to develop the flower as a whole 4. What TBGJM does the flower need to receive or offer in order to survive and prosper (e.g.: colour, smell, pollen) 5. The flower shows some respect (e.g. Doesnt poison soil) 6. Various elements in the flower need to work on themselves in order to support the development of the flower as a whole 7. And feedback systems are any small genetic changes helpful, am I strong enough to stand in the wind, etc. 16 Slide 18 P ERSONAL GOAL SETTING - E XAMPLE 1. I want to promote my product through offering samples at supermarkets 2. Who are the key people who can help me achieve my goal 3. What key decisions need to be made and what communication processes will allow for this idea to succeed? 4. What are the TBGJM needs of my customers or the supermarket what will inspire them 5. Who are the key stakeholders that I need to honour and respect on the way to achieve my goal? 6. Do I need to develop some skills in order to reach my goal? 7. And feedback how can I learn from both my successes and failures 17 Slide 19 E VEN PEOPLE WHO HAVE EVIL INTENTIONS USE THE PRINCIPLES OF C REATION TO ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS BUT THEY TYPICALLY VIOLATE PRINCIPLE OF RESPECT 1Lets invade and take over another country 2Who are the key people who can help us succeed 3Lets discuss, plan, set up communication processes 4How can we motivate our army and population 5We respect the needs of OUR army and population 6What training will help our troops to succeed 7What feedback systems will help us understand what we need to improve. 18 Slide 20 P RINCIPLE 1 IDENTITY OR GOAL DETERMINES THE REST OF THE OTHER 6 PRINCIPLES Once your identity or goal is determined then: 1. You chose the mix of people to support that identity or goal 2. Your communication structures and smaller goals are built to support that identity or goal 3. You have to ask what TBGJM is in that identity/goal 4. You ask who are the key stakeholders in that identity/goal who do you have to respect? 5. You ask what kind of training of individuals is needed to support that identity/goal 6. And feedback systems which best help the maintenance and development of that identity/goal For this reason it is REALLY important that your goal or identity is as clear as possible 19 Slide 21 I N ANY HEALTHY SYSTEM THE PRINCIPLES OF CREATION ARE TYPICALLY AT WORK ON EVERY LEVEL WITHIN THAT SYSTEM ALL ALIGNING THEMSELVES IN SOME WAY WITH THE CORE IDENTITY OR GOAL Principles of Creation 20 Slide 22 T HOUGH IT IS REALLY GOOD TO UNDERSTAND THE P RINCIPLES OF C REATION Wholehearted, virtuous human The Principles of Creation O UR KEY PROBLEM IS THAT WE ARE MANY TIMES FAR FROM BEING WHOLEHEARTED, VIRTUOUS HUMAN BEINGS. O UR CORE VALUES, OUR INNER SENSE OF SECURITY, OUR ATTITUDES, OUR INNER TRAUMAS, ETC CAN ALL BE FAR FROM IDEAL - MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO BE THE SPOUSE, PARENT, BOSS, EMPLOYEE, FRIEND WE WOULD LIKE TO BE And 21 Slide 23 S INCE THE U NIFICATION MOVEMENT HAS SUCH A CLEAR SET OF MOVEMENT BUILDING PRINCIPLES WITHIN THE P RINCIPLE OF C REATION It probably is the sincere hope of many members of the movement that we use them to build Cheong Il Guk The first thing is to clarify the identity of CIG and then set about heading in that direction 22 Slide 24 A BOUT Stephen Stacey has been lecturing at various universities in Finland for the last 12 years He pioneered a course on the couple relationship for students For the last 3 years, after understanding that most challenges in marriage come from the quality of the two individuals themselves, he has been seeking to build a model of a healthy human being.
