SAINT PATRICK'S I)AY PARADE

The crowd was rocked as they sampled a taste of the 588/621Flag Party, and Band. It was cold day, but as we began theparade we were heated up by the friendly welcome of crowd onhand. It certainly was a test of endurance, for both the Fl-ag Party and the Band, but 588/621 proved once agairi theycan complete the entire parade in a professic)hal and precisemanner .

FlightA glorious finish... from a glorious beginning, yes that is

one way to describe Snowbird flight. All year we have workedhard, together as a team. We have improved ourselves and bydoing so, so has the Squadron.

We have progressed all year and we're inches away from attai-ning perfection (our I light motto, remembera Annual is comingup real soon and knowing the standards of SNomalRD PLIGHT, wewill excel on parade.

We have acquired knowledge, experience and discipline throug-bout the year, and from the start you've never failed to demon-Strate it.

FlightSTARFIGHTER FLIGHT

This, having been my first year as a f light commander, I haveto say that I am pleased with the way Star fighter Flight hasprogressed, and learnt from your mistakes. You have set, andmaintained throughout the whole year, a standard for your uniforms, your attendance and drill. You have functioned as a flight, andworked together as a team, just like a f light should. Each andevery one of you worked hard, and put a lot of time and effort intocadets, and into your flight, and for this, I am very proud of you. What you learnt this year, I hope you will remember for the rest ofyour cadet career.

I would also like to say that the Corporals and my st.aff havedone an excellent job, well and efficiently throughout the year. The success of Starfighter Flight is also due to your hard work anddedication .

For all of Star fighter Flight, I hope you have a good summer, and I wish all of you Good Luck next year

Flying Scholarship Program

This program is o££ered to cadets aged to 16 to 18 by the AirCadet League. It enables cadets to become glider pilots and/orprivate pilots.

To qualify for the scholarship, many factors are taken intoconsideration, the three most important being: school marks, aninterview and a written examination. The examination and interviews for our region are held everyyear at our cadet building on the I irst Saturday of the montho£ February. This year it was the 5th of Febmay.
