The DGS Amnesty International group have put a donation bin in the foyer for any clothes,
shoes, socks, blankets, sleeping bags, toiletries and food (non-perishable).
Could you please bring anything that you can
to help people in desperate need in the refugee camps in Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey
as part of East Lothian's appeal for help.
Challenge Enterprise
Friday 16th - Sunday 18th October at Carronvale House Larbet
This is a weekend programme organised by the Rotary District 1020. It is aimed
at 16-18 year olds who are interested in a career in Business.
This is a fully funded residential programme includes the following and much more: group challenges, business simulation challenges, debates and networking
with business leaders.

TSL 2016 International Schools Essay Competition & Debate -
Are Sustainable Cities Possible? Are 'sustainable cities' just wishful thinking or can we make them a reality? The Trust for Sustainable Living is pleased to invite schoolchildren around the world (age 7-17) to share their thoughts on the future of sustainable cities.
To take part, schools must submit their essays before the closing date (15th Dec). The Grand Prize Winner will receive a free trip to Dubai for up to three people. All participating schools will be invited to the TSL 2016 International Schools Debates in Dubai, UAE (17-21 April 2016).
All schools are welcome.
Please help us spread the word.
TSL 2016 Schools Sustainability Challenge Schools are also invited to create a short (max. 3 minute) video showcasing their best sustainability projects.
The contest will recognise and reward the actions and leadership of schools and the winning school will receive our Schools Sustainability Challenge Trophy, together with a cash prize of £500 or equivalent. Schools and Teachers – please register here (before 15th Dec.)
