RULES ®ULATIONS OF THE EVENTS General Guidelines
1. The participants are required to carry a valid Photo Id card of their respective
Campus/University. Without Photo Id-Card the participants will not be allowed to
participate in any of the events.
2. The Last Date for registration is 10th March, 2015.
3. There is NO REGISTRATION FEE, but the participants are required to send their
registration form either by sending hard copy of duly filled at SCMS-Noida, Block A, Sector
62, Plot No. 47 & 48, Noida – 201301

4. On the spot registration is allowed only for few events. We request participants to report 1
hour prior to the respective events.
5. SYMAROH organizing Committee reserves the right to cancel any registration at any point
of time during the event, if the requisites are not provided.
6. The decision of the SYMAROH Judges will be final and binding on all participants.
7. During the events, Spotlight events, and celebrity performance, any behavior denigrating or
being disrespectful is strictly prohibited and non-tolerable.

Rules & Regulations
LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION Student will participate individually Student will be given 30 Minutes to write
the script Student will not be allowed to use any
resource (Laptop, Phone etc.)at the time of the event
The script prepared by the student should be original (Should not be copied or inspired)
The Script need to be in Hindi or English.
COMIC FANTASY Students will participate individually Student will be given 45 Minutes to
prepare the comic Student will not be allowed to use any
resource (Laptop, Phone etc.)at the time of the event
The comic prepared by the student should be original (Should not be copied or inspired)
POETRY OUT LOUD Students will participate individually Student will be given 35 Minutes to
prepare the comic Student will not be allowed to use any
resource (Laptop, Phone etc.)at the time of the event
The POEM prepared by the student should be original (Should not be copied or inspired).
SCRATCHED No. of students per team - 2 Time limit – 45 minutes to prepare
graffiti. Theme will be provided on the spot Teams will be provided with a canvas
(Size – 5*3) to prepare graffiti. Participants have to bring their Spray
cans to prepare the graffiti. Maximum no. of entries-10
(First come first serve basis)
KOLAM No. of students per team - 2 Time limit – 90 minutes to prepare
rangoli. Use of paints will not be allowed. Teams will be provided a defined space
to make rangoli (approx. 3X3 square feet).
Participants have to bring their own material required to make rangoli
SMILE PLEASE Students will participate individually 5 pictures will be accepted from each
participant. Theme will be provided on the spot Participants are required to capture
pictures on both the days of fest. Participants are required to bring their
own cameras.
PAINT TO STYLE
No. of students per team – 2 ( 1- artist, 1-model )
Participants must bring their own material.
Time limit – 90 minutes for both tasks. Theme – Angels and Demons, both Nail
Art and Eye Make-Up must be connected.
FUNNY BONES
Students will participate individually Time Limit – 5 minutes. The use of props should be minimum No props will be provided by the
institute. The act should NOT include bad
language, racial content and should not be aimed to directly or indirectly offend anyone or any organization.
Maximum no. of entries-10 (First come first serve basis)
EUPHONY 3 members allowed (A singer along with
its 2 Musicians, only singer is going to be judged and musicians are just there to support the performance).
Genres allowed (Classical, Semi- Classical, Sufi and Bollywood).
Time allotted for the performance including the sound set-up will be 3 minutes.
Participants must carry extra cables. Schedule
o Day-1: Performances in Convention Hall for the first round.
o Day-2: Selected participants will get the opportunity to perform on the final day of the event.
Songs must be original or covers. Maintaining the time limits are
mandatory (performances crossing the time limit will lose their points then and there)
SPIRIT IN MOTION There will be two rounds for the solo
dance event:
o Day-1 participants can perform to any dance style as per their choice.
o Time limit: max 3 minutes on stage
o Day-2: the participants shortlisted for the next and final round will have to portray a theme by their performance. Time limit: 3-5 minutes.
o Participants shall bring in their own props and costumes accordingly
Participants must bring the CD of songs, PD or Instruments that they require for their performance.
FIFA’15 KNOCK-OUT Half Length – 4 mins. Difficulty Level – World Class (keeper) Defending Style – Tactical Only Custom tactics & Formations not
allowed. Classic XI and World XI not allowed. Camera : Tele If teams are level after 90 minutes, then
Penalty Shootouts will be played. Participants will be disqualified if not
present for their matches within 30 minutes of scheduled time.
ENTRY FEE: 100 PER PERSON. (Re-registration only allowed till the end
of 1st round)
JHANKAR BEATS More than one team per college is
allowed Minimum 1 and maximum 6 members
can perform as a team. Both western and Indian instruments
are allowed Students have to carry their own
instruments, only drums will be provided if required.
Each participant will be allotted a total time of 7 minutes including 1 minute for setup.

NUKKAD NATAK The competition is for current students
only; professional artists are not allowed. Any involvement of such will lead to disqualification.
Team size- 10-20 members Time – 10-15 min. (Negative marking of
5 marks for every additional min) All participants are required to report an
hour prior to the scheduled time. Both Hindi and English are allowed. The event will be carried out in an open
ground; hence the use of microphones, speakers, etc. is prohibited.
No rehearsal time will be provided. Any act involving the use of fire is
prohibited. Any use of offensive language or
promotion of sensitive issues is prohibited
Maximum no. of entries-6 (First come first serve basis)
MODEL HUNT A separate registration is required;
however individuals participating in any event are welcome to participate in ‘Model Hunt’.
Multiple entries from same college are allowed.
This is an open event; walk in entries and on the spot registrations are also allowed; however preference will be given to the already registered participants.
Individual Participants will be selected on the basis of their appearance, walking stance, attitude and their performance on the spot.
Chance to win Exciting Cash prizes and a Portfolio Shoot by professional fashion photographers.

STREET SWINGS Participants can perform to any dance
style as per their choice. Participants are required to bring CDs
and PD containing the songs for their performance
Time limit is minimum 3minutes and maximum 5 minutes on stage.
Points will be deducted for exceeding time limit.
Costumes and props have to be arranged by the respective teams.
METALINGUS 3- 6 members in a band (only 1
accompanist will be allowed). Only Western genres allowed. (Rock,
Alternative Rock, Metal, Alternative Metal, Progressive Hard Rock, Punk)
Songs should be original or covers. Vocals are compulsory. Time allotted for the band performance
including the sound set-up will be 20 minutes.
A basic drum kit must be present. All other instruments must be brought
by the band themselves. Participants must carry extra cables. Bands need to send at least their one
best demo video (preferably OC's) and their band profile on the official email ID for the first round
Out of all 4 Bands will get the opportunity to perform on the final day of the event.
Maintaining the time limits is mandatory (performances crossing the time limit will lose their points then and there).
DANCE-VERSITY Participants can perform to any dance
style as per their choice. Participants must bring the CD of songs,
PD or Instruments that they require for their performance.
Time Limit for Dance is 8-10 Minutes. Exceeding time limit will lead to deduction of scores.
Minimum number of participants in a team should be 8 Maximum 16
Only one team for each college. Maximum no. of entries-10
(First come first serve basis)
COUCH POTATO
The quiz will be based on all the
Situation-Comedy T.V. Serials all around the world.
This will be a team event and a team shall consist of 2 participants from the same institute.
There will be 4 Rounds in total First Round will be a qualifying
round where all the participating teams will have to answer 30 Multiple Choice Questions. Participants will get 15 seconds to answer each question. (Negative Marking)
10 Teams will qualify for the Second round which will be an audio round. Participants will have to identify audios from various Sit-coms and answer questions based on those.
Third round will be a Video Round, for which, only 5 teams will qualify. Participants will be shown videos on the projector screen and they’ll be asked questions based on those videos.
Three teams will qualify for the final round which will be a Buzzer Round.
Team with the highest points in the final round will be the winner.
Mr. & Ms. SYMAROH
A separate registration is required;
however individuals participating in any event are welcome to participate in ‘Mr. and Ms. Symaroh ‘15.
Multiple entries from same college are allowed.
First round consists of a Written Test to test a participant’s creativity, presence of mind and ‘X’ Factor.
Second Round is ‘Talent hunt’ Participants will be judged on their
unique talent. A Rapid Fire Question Answer Round
and Ramp Walk will be followed after the second round.
This is an open event, on the spot entries are also allowed; however preference will be given to the already registered participants.
Participants will be evaluated on the parameters like their personality, talent and the uniqueness of their answers.
PANACHE – THE FASHION PARADE
Only one team from the same college is
allowed. A team can have 10- 14 members.
Assistants for Light & Sound-2 members (Excluding Participants).
Time limit for every team would be 15 minutes (Curtain to Curtain, Including setup and the performance both). Negative marking for teams exceeding time limit.
Theme selection is open to the team. Stage with a ‘T’ shaped Extension will be
provided. Both the stage & extension may be used as walking ramp.
Every college has to bring 2 music CDs in mp3 format containing their music track for the performance.
Introductory Write up about the theme should be submitted by the team prior to the performance.
Props such as cigarettes, wine bottles or lightning fire etc. are banned and will lead to disqualification.
Teams need to send one best demo video and their team and theme profile on the official email ID for the first round
