purposes, such as reading or sewing.

Today you can do much more than that with your lighting.Yor.r can use it to help "decorate" your home. Lighting gives youone of lhe most subtle and effective of all methods for creating the"atmosphere" you want . . . for making your home not oniy much

more comforlable, but much more charming.

ments for lamps and fixtures using incandescent light bulbs-famiiiar in homes everywhere. So this booklet shows you many of

the new ideas made possible by a newer light source-

the long

fluorescent "tube". These exciting modcrn lighting treatments are

based on studies concir-rcted by Sylvania's Residential Lighl"ing

Department. On page 14 _vou'll find both slan<lard anrl brancl new sharles of

light now availablc in incanclescent bulbs - and also thc seven

"shacles ol while" in fluorescent tubes. l'rom Lhese you can choose

exactl-v the shades of light you need Lo enhance your favorite color

schemes -- or to make incandescent and fluorescent blend pleas-

antly togerther.

And because incandescent bulbs continue to be so essential

to home lighting, there's a helpful "What Watt?" table on page
