Using the Manifest Detail screen is how returns (product coming back from the customer) are processed back into inventory.

What is needed to get started?
A manifest number is needed to look up a manifest as well as the necessary paperwork and product coming back from the driver.
Procedure for CRT
Follow the steps below to look up a manifest via the CRT.
Step Action
1 Go to the Driver Check-in menu on the main SWMS screen. 2 Go to Manifest ovrvw. 3 Enter the Manifest number in the appropriate field. Hit the F9 key.
Result: Manifest information is shown
4 Once appropriate manifest is highlighted, press F10 to access the menu bar. 5 Press Enter with Manifest_details highlighted.
Result: You will now be on the Manifest Details screen, which shows all items that were on that manifest.
6 Use the arrow key to move up or down and highlight the item that is being returned.
7 Press F10 to access the menu bar. With item-Returns highlighted, press Enter.

While the RF’s functionality is very similar to the CRT, there are a few things that can’t be done on the RF unit currently (full invoice returns and manifest close).
Step Action
1 Choose Putaway and then Returns on RF from the Main Menu. Result: The system then prompts for a printer to be scanned. Note: The printer must be turned on before scanning.
2 Select one of the three options below.
# Option To be Used IF…. 1 Order Seq # The returned product has a pick label on it. 2 Item UPC No label is on the product. 3 Inv # Item #
UOM There is no label and the UPC does not scan.
Result: The screens on the RF unit will prompt for the necessary information (i.e. temperature, weight etc).
3 Press the Submit key once the screen has been filled out completely. Result: A return license plate will print out for the returned item(s). Only one license plate will print for each item code, regardless of the quantity returned of that item. The printer must be on for the license plates to print.
Follow the steps below to look up items via the RF unit.
Step Action
1 From the main screen, go to Stock Status. 2 Select one of the following options to look up the item.

Result: Subsequent screens will ask for the necessary information to be scanned or entered.
3 Press the Submit button on the screen or the Enter button on the keyboard after scanning or entering the information.
If a product’s location is unknown, looking it up via SWMS is the easiest way

Procedure for CRT
Follow the steps below to look up locations via the CRT.
Step Action
1 Go to Inventory, Inventory from the main screen. 2 Enter known information (i.e. description: chicken, brand: Tyson) or item # in the
query blocks. Note: Put a % at the beginning and end of the information entered to help with wild card searches
3 Press F9 to query. 4 Using the arrow buttons, scroll up or down through the list to locate the item 5 Once the correct item number is known, press F8 to return to the query section
and enter in the item #. Clear out (i.e. “space” over any remaining information). 6 Press F9 to query.
Result: Query results display.
7 Scroll through the list with the arrow keys. Result: The location of the items is shown in the Location column.
Follow the steps below to look up locations via the RF.
Step Action
1 Go to Stock Status from the main screen. Result: It is possible to choose a variety of ways to look up the location of an item.
2 Select one of the following options to look up the location.

Result: Subsequent screens will ask for the necessary information to be scanned or entered.
5 After scanning or entering the information, press the Submit button on the screen or the Enter button on the keyboard.
6 Scroll through the list with the arrow keys after the results return. Result: The location of the items is shown in the Location column. Note: The home slot/pick slot of that item is where the license # and location number are the same.
Follow the steps below to create a location via the CRT.
Step Action
1 Go to Maintenance, Location, Logical from the main menu. 2 Press F10.
Result: The cursor moves to the menu bar.
3 Select New and press Enter. 4 Enter the new location. 5 Enter the appropriate slot types. 6 Scroll to the status field and enter AVL. 7 Scroll to the Cube field and enter the number of cubic inches. 8 Scroll to the Pic Loc? Field
IF…. Then…. Slot is a pick location Enter Y Slot is a reserve location Enter N
9 Enter the appropriate Put and Pick Zones. 10 Enter the aisle side.
• E = Even side • O = Odd side
11 Enter the floor height. 12 Enter the Pick Aisle, Pick Loc, and Pick Level.
Example: DG99B1
13 Enter the height of the slot. Note: Slot height is in inches.
14 Enter the liftoff height. 15 Press F7 to save changes.
• Product to be put-a-way with a valid license plate (LPN).
Procedure for RF
Follow the steps below to put-a-way items via the CRT.
Step Action
1 Choose Putaway, Putaway from the Main Menu. Result: The system prompts for a license plate to be scanned.
2 Use the gun to scan the LPN of the product that needs to be putaway. 3 After scanning all the LPNs that will be putaway on a specific trip, press the F2
button to Travel. Result: The system will organize the LPNs in the most efficient manner based on the location to which they are going.
4 Travel to the location desired to put the product away. 5 Scan the LPN of the pallet/product being putaway.
Result: The screen will show some detail of the product.
6 Verify that the correct product has been selected. 7 Put the product into the appropriate slot. 8 Scan the rack label of the corresponding slot.
Note: If the product has been directed to a level that is too high to scan, scan the lowest label scannable in the same vertical column (i.e., if the product is directed to CA17A7, scan CA17A1).
If a return from a driver comes back that has been unslotted, the item must be slotted before it can be returned to inventory.

Procedure for CRT
Follow the steps below to slot floating items via the CRT.
Step Action
1 Go to Maintenance, Location, Logical from the main screen. 2 In the query blocks, enter the following information.
• Item # N • Pick Loc N • Float Loc Y • Area (applicable area C-Cooler; D-Dry; F-Frozen)
3 Press F9 to query. Result: The locations shown are available to use for slotting items.
4 Arrow to the location where the item will be slotted. 5 Press F10 and choose Edit. 6 Press F10 and choose Slot Item. 7 Enter the Item # in the Item field. 8 Tab to the Cust Pref Vendor field and enter a -. 9 Tab to the Zone field.
Result: The Zone field will automatically populate and a pop-up window will display. Press F3.
Step Action 10 Tab to the UOM field and enter 0 (zero). 11 Tab again which will return to the Item field. Press F7 to commit.
Result: A message will appear at the bottom of the screen “Transaction Complete.”
12 Press F3 twice to exit back to the Maintenance, Location, Logical screen. Note: The location should no longer show on the screen as it is now being used.
13 Press F8 to return to the query block to verify that the slotting did occur. Enter the location used for the slotting. Clear out (i.e. “space over” all remaining data in the query block. Result: The data should show that the location has the item attached to it. Note: If during the slotting process, an error occurs displaying that the item is not floating, return to step 2 and change Float Loc to N and complete the steps.
Follow the steps below to add a user to SOS via the CRT.
Step Action
1 Go to Order, SOS, User Config, from the main menu 2 Press F10
Result: The cursor moves to the menu bar.
3 Select New Result: The Add a new user screen is displayed
4 Enter the following: Field Enter User ID USSXXX Primary Job Code Job code the associate uses most. If
unknown, press F4 for a listing. Alt Job Code #1 DSLUNI Alt Job Code #2 CSLUNI Alt Job Code #3 FSLUNI Default Job Code Same as Primary Job Code Print FL Label Y Enter Qty N Training Labels N
This will allow you to review which selectors are actively selecting.

Procedures for CRT
Follow the steps below to view active users in SOS via the CRT.
Step Action
1 Go to Order, SOS, (Dry, Freezer, or Cooler) Status, from the main menu. Result: The screen displays with Associates name in the Selector name column.
2 Press Q to exit.
Field Descriptions
The table below identifies each field on the screen.
Field Displays Start When the Selector started the current batch.
PrjTim The Estimated time necessary to finish the current batch. Units The remaining cases/splits to be pulled. Idle The time since the Selectors last scan.
It provides Supervisors with the ability to assign newer Selectors easier batches so they can learn proper selection procedures. These batches only transmit to those Selectors the following job codes: • DTRAIN • CTRAIN • FTRAIN

Procedure for CRT

1 Go to Order, Pick Adjustment from the main menu. 2 Enter the Route Number in the route number field. 3 Press F10. 4 Select Catchweights. 5 Highlight the item that requires a catchweight. 6 Press F10.
Result: The cursor moves to the menu bar.
7 Select edit-cw. Result: A pop up window displays.
8 Enter a catchweight for each line in the pop-up window. 9 Press F7 to save changes.
Result: The Pick Adjustments-Catchweights screen displays with a value shown in the Total Catch Wt. Column.

Follow the steps below to check in a PO via the RF unit.
Step Action
1 Go to Receiving, Check in from the main menu. 2 Scan the License Plate.
Result: The screen will display LP#, PO#, and Exp Qty with a value already entered. Warning: The only situation in which a value needs to be entered is if the quantity received on the license plate (LP) is different than the Exp Qty value on the screen. Note: Because SWMS is an exception-based inventory system, only quantity differences require recording. If the quantity ordered and the quantity received is the same, no information needs to be recorded.
3 Press Enter. Result: The LP required data collection screen is displayed.
4 IF…. Then…. Product is a C.O.O.L. item A pop up window will display
verifying COOL data. Select Yes and enter information based on the table below.
Product is not a C.O.O.L. item Enter the required information. IF…. THEN…. Entering weight Enter weight for the entire item

Note: The Home slot uses the same location and license plate.
5 Press F10. Result: The cursor moves to the menu bar.
6 Select Home Transfer and press Enter. Result: The cursor moves to the From Loc field.
7 Press Tab. Result: The cursor moves to the To Loc field.
8 Enter the new Slot Location. 9 Press Tab. 10 Enter the License Plate in the License # field.
Note: This is the LP to be attached to the product being moved.
Step Action 11 Press Tab. 12 If applicable, enter the Exp Date or Mfg Date information. 13 Press Tab. 14 Enter the number of cases and/or splits to move to the new location in the

Follow the steps below to perform a home slot transfer via the RF unit.

1 Go to Inv Admin from the main menu. 2 Select Home Slot Transfer.

(pick slot). Scan LP The license plate to attach to the
product being moved. Scan Res Loc The location where the product is
being moved.
3 Enter the appropriate information and press Submit. Note: If applicable, a window will display requesting Exp Date or Mfg Date information.
4 Enter the requested information and press OK. Result: The Transfer Quantity screen is displayed. Note: This is the quantity moving from the home slot to the new reserve slot.
5 Press Submit. Note: If the line is splittable, a screen will display requesting the number of splits to transfer.
6 Enter the case/split quantity and press Submit. Result: A summary screen is displayed with the number of transferred cases and splits.

1 Go to Inventory, Cycle Count from the main menu. 2 Enter the following data into the appropriate fields.

4 Select Generate. Result: A list of cycle counts is generated and the cursor moves to the “S” column. Note: To clear undesired counts, move the cursor to the line to be deleted and press F4.
Upon completion of the manual cycle count, follow the steps below to enter the information via the RF unit.

1 Go to Cycle Count from the main menu. 2 Select By Assignment. 3 Select By Aisle. 4 Select the Area code to be counted.
