SWIMMING TOWARDS SAFETY SWIM LESSON CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Swim Lesson Schedule AQUATICS Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It’s about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. The Y is a place where you can work toward that balance through participating in our aqua group fitness classes, fostering connections with friends, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities. Observation areas are available to view all lessons. Please arrive on time to prevent class disruptions. All participants must shower before entering the pool. Please use pool shoes to avoid slipping. There is absolutely no running on the pool deck. Appropriate swimwear is important. Excessive baggy or restrictive swimwear can prevent your child from performing his best. No cut off shorts allowed. Please remain on the pool deck until the class or swim session before you is completed. Swim caps are not required but are a good idea. Long hair must be tied back securely. A swim diaper is required for all children 6months to 3 years of age. Goggles may be worn; and are recommended for higher level classes. AQUATICS REFUND POLICY: It is the policy of the San Pedro & Peninsula YMCA to offer refunds whenever possible. Parents need to notify their children’s swim instructor, aquatics coordinator, and front desk no later than the first class if their child will no longer be able to participate. This will allow another child to occupy the space. No refunds will be given after the first class unless the reason is medical. Documentation may be required by the aquatics coordinator before a refund request is granted. ENROLLMENT
