HISTORY

Swimming is physical activity that allows the floating and movement of the body in water following technical specifications.

IT BECAME IMPORTANT AGAIN IN THE LATE NINETEENTH CENTURY, WHEN THEY WERE DISCOVERED ITS HEALING PROPERTIES OF PHYSICAL AND PSICOLOGICAL.

THIS SPORT BECAME COMPETITIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AUSTRALIA; IN EUROPE IT OCCURS IN THE SECOND TIME, WITH THE BACKSTROKE. A GERMAN ORGANIZED THE FIRST COMPETITIONS IN SWIMMING AND DIVING. THE FIRST COMPANY WAS THE NATIONAL SWIMMING SOCIETY, FOUNDED IN LONDON IN 1837.

Athletes must:

• respect the spirit of the competition.

• Accept the decisions of the official competition without protest.

• Do not cheat and do not try to fix races with drug use.

• Accept the successes and defeats, victories and losses, with elegance and good conduct.

• Treat their mates and opponents with respect both on and off the race tracks.

Managers and coaches of the teams must:

• Make people understand and respect the principles of fair play.

• Do not encourage drug use.

• Do not try to manipulate the regulation

• Respect the rights of other teams and never to act in a manner which could damage their opponents.

• Do not try to influence the results of the competitions, with any action not covered by the rules of fair-play.

DOPINGDoping is the antagonistic of fair play.

Doping means take drugs and forbidden substances and there are tree principal type of doping products that the swimmer use:

-AMPHETAMINES

 

-ANABOLIC STEROIDS

 -GROWTH HORMONE

. A lot of people think that swimming is a “clean” sport or rather a sport where the athletes don’t use doping substances . Unfortunately this isn’t true and we can easily prove it opening newspapers where there are frequently news about doping in swimming competitions For example in:
