2. Introduction to Swachhata Pakhwada:-

“Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” is an initiative by the Hon‟ble Prime

Minister, Shree Narendra Modi as a nationwide cleanliness campaign. It

was launched on 2nd October 2014, on the birthday of the Father of the

Nation, Mahatma Gandhi with a vision and mission of a clean India.

The mission was launched on the concept of Mahatma Gandhi‟s vision,

“Sanitation is more important than independence”

As a part of this nationwide agenda, SKIT has actively participated in

“Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” by observing “SWACHHTA PAKHWADA”

during 16/01/2020 to 31/01/2020.

The programme was formally initiated on 16.01.2020 at the Auditorium

with pledge of swacchhta followed by a lecture by Mr. Kailash Soni on

the cleanliness and environment conservation. During the Pakhwada,

several activities were carried out in the institute for Clean India

Swachhta Pakhwada Campaign. All the laboratories, administrative

building, security room, colony premises were examined for cleanliness

and importance of sanitation to keep the environment and surroundings

healthy was realised.

The sanitation campaign is a great success that has inculcated a sense of

safety and hygiene in each and every individual of the campus. Nearby

villages, farmers and other society members were also sensitized and

this has resulted in building up of new generation of soldiers for clean

India campaign.

This campaign and efforts will continue in future for building strong and

healthy India.

So, during the Pakhwada, various Swachhta activities and awareness

were organized at SKIT Campus and Village sites. The activities were

carried out as per the action plan and the same were reported daily on

Samiksha Portal.
