SUSU’s People Development Team are supportive of our Student Leader’s aspirations to develop and grow our memberships’ employability.
We have created the @YourSUSU #YourSkills Programme of Learning to do just that.
We also work with our Student Leaders to bespoke specialist learning events and adventures
Today we are sharing one of our recent stories of success…

Last Year Our Students Said… This year We Did…
“If it is going to be a Creative Industries (CI) training week why was no representative included for the other Creative Industries societies?”
We invited the full Creative Industry Zone Clubs & Societies to attend. This added to the diversity in the room & began building the CI Zone through collaboration.
“Performing Arts were already more than prepared before this week and we felt that it wasn’t overly useful to us as it still felt tailored to be a Media training week.”
Re-addressed the balance through an agenda that was appropriate to our audience. Offering completely new sessions different to last year. Offering tailored specialist sessions for different groups to complement e.g. Trip to Echo
“I feel it should be more inclusive.” We spent a full afternoon exploring inclusivity & what it meant for the CI Zone
“More on working with SUSU and what SUSU can do for you”
We had various SUSU guest speakers to share what they can do to help students
