• Governmentshouldprovideanenvironmentthatenablesandencouragestheprivatesector,touristsandotherstakeholderstorespondtosustainabilityissues.•  Thiscanbestbeachievedbyestablishingandimplementingasetofpoliciesfortourismdevelopmentandmanagementthatplacesustainabilityatitscentre.

• RecognitionfromtheGlobalSustainableTourismCouncil(GSTC)isbeingsought.

•  EarlyimplementationassoonasrecognitionfromGSTCisobtained.

•  CreativeMauritiusPortalpromoteslocalproductsincludinghandicraft-MTPAwillhavealinktothee-catalogue.

•  FundingisbeingsoughtbySMEDAtoembarkonaqualitycertificationforatleast20products.MSBwillworkwithSMEDAthereon.
