The reason we chose to call

ourselves Sushi Productions is

because it is memeorable and not

like any other name out there.

Sushi is a japanese well known

food and like the japanese culture

we are up to date with technology

and how people watch movies in

the 21st century.

Sushi productions is an

independent film company

that has been making short

films online for a number of

years. Slowly our productions

have became more and more

successful. Now we are at

the point where we would

like to make a feature length

film in cinemas in the UK and

all over the world if possible.

We plan on doing this in the

next year with your financial

Sushi Productions is a beginner

independent film company who

have been making successful

short films on YouTube. These

short films have been of all

genres and have had a great

response. Our aspiration is to

have a full length feature film in

the cinemas of the UK and if

that is successful then

worldwide. We want to become

a very successful independent

company like vertigo films and

others.

Vertigo Films are a British film production and distribution company founded in 2002. The company was formed for express purpose of distributing and producing two films, The football Factory and It’s All Gone Pete Tong. Its current stated goal is to produce and distribute for films per year. The have produced over 30 films and are still going today. As an independent company Veritgo films must support and promote themselves however they have total control over what they produce and distribute.

Conglomerates

Although for a while Warner Bros entertainment was

independent it is currently owned by Times Warner. As

producers and distributers of many very successful films,

like the Harry Potter series, their name is well known and

trusted. As part of a conglomerate Warner Bros are

always promoted and finacially supported however they

have less control over what they produce.

Independent companies are mostly smaller but have total control of everything they do. Conglomerates are often bigger but

the subsidiaries have a lot less control as the parent company has the final decision.

• One of the benefits of being a independent

company means we can choose who we work

with. Therefore we can use other companies to

our advantage.

• For example a start up advertising company

named Blue Cloud marketing and advertising has

chosen to work with us in order to promote our

companies name and get us well known in the UK

as a start off and hopefully worldwide. This

benefits the advertising company as they are

receiving income and work to prevent the

company going bust.

company who are also starting up.

They have agreed to play our film in

their cinema. By doing this they help
