Welcome to Krypta
What is Krypta?
Krypta is an interactive logic-puzzle based game which tests your
foresight and logic skills against objectives in a fun sandbox environment.
The Story
You are Magnus Venture, a young, avid explorer with a great allure for
treasure and all things antiquity.
You’re at the rumoured location of a fabled temple in the Great Desert
that has yet to been unearthed and ransacked of all its possessions. While
scouting the area for signs of the ruins you find yourself slipping through
the dunes down into the depths of the legendary Krypta dungeon – the
fabled temple of the Gods.
Delve deep into the Krypta dungeon and forage in forbidden and
forgotten territory to quench your lust for treasure and riches – but beware
of the many traps and enemies that hide and lurk inside. The deeper you
delve the more perilous your journey becomes. It’s up to your deductive
thinking and puzzle solving abilities to ensure you obtain treasures but
more importantly find an escape and stay alive!
The Objective
The objective of the game is for the player to collect treasure, avoid
enemies and solve logic puzzles in order to reach the end of each floor in
the shortest amount of time – with each floor becoming more increasingly
challenging.

Characters and Enemies
Snakes
Snakes have taken up residence throughout
the dungeon nesting in chests, pots and
behind doors. The snakes are venomous and
cause a host of status ailments and non-
lethal effects that hinder your progress. He
only way to stop the encumbrance of
venom is to find the anti-venom along the
dungeon path.
Scarabs
Scarab beetles are quick and agile and can be
quite deadly if you’re not careful. Scarab
beetles will set off traps and can steal your
gold and keys if they touch you when they
fly past. They also produce noise that will
alert any more enemies that are nearby.
Make sure to step on them to kill them and get
your loot back!

Tools
At the beginning of each map the player will have the choice of
five tools. A player must only carry two tools to be allowed to
enter the map. Each tool provides an advantage or interaction
with the environment. The tools that are available are:
Bird
The bird tool acts as a deployable scout with a
time limit on flight. It can ignore floor based
traps but can’t avoid combat, gas or ranged
traps. The bird can also make noise to attract
the attention of enemies within proximity.
Boots
Boots increase the speed of the player making
it easier to evade obstacles and decreases the
sound emitted by the characters movements.
They can act favourably with game elements
such as breakable tiles lasting twice as long.
Shield
The shield is a defensive combat tool that
safeguards against one lethal attack from an
enemy and is then destroyed, acting as a life
line for the player.

Tools
At the beginning of each map the player will have the choice of
five tools. A player must only carry two tools to be allowed to
enter the map. Each tool provides an advantage or interaction
with the environment. The tools that are available are:
Sword
This weapon gives you a form of direct offense.
It can be used to kill enemies from a distance.
If attacking the enemy from behind, it will be a
100% kill rate however if the attacked head on
it will be a 50/50 chance.
Torch
The torch increases the radius of sight of the
playable character while also increasing the
line of sight of enemies. It can reveal elements
that can be seen in natural light i.e. treasure.
The torch also interacts with specific properties
such as spider webs and gas.

Traps
Bear Traps

those who wander the dungeon carelessly.
Cracked Tiles
Watch your step! Some dungeon tiles have
weakened over the decades. Be sure not to

dungeon. Not only will these cause bleeding
damage over time, but they will slow you down
for a period of time.
