available on our Township Website

Question 3 Comments/Remarks• If the website was made user friendly and by-laws were posted. The

best idea is to use e-mail

• If messages go to “snail mail”, everyone should get it. Otherwise it is not fair. It is too expensive to send notices with taxes (how everyone accesses information). Stop using “snail mail: unless everyone gets it

• No sense in coming to the meetings, they wait for you to leave and then talk. Your concerns mean nothing. I’ve been to them and never hear a thing, taxpayers deserve the right to be there for the whole meeting

• Any advertisements on the radio/TV would be quite the expense and the Sault Star can also be very pricey. It is best to find the least expensive method of delivery and one where you can ensure the majority of Ratepayers receive the information

• Recreation Programs are a waste of taxpayer money, some sort of user fees should be implemented

• Sometimes people do not even know these things are happening. Goes to the market most weekends when open

• Tried to sign up for Rowing/Sailing in the first week, and was notified the Tuesday before and it was full. Poorly planned. With a large senior population, what is available for them?

• The social and recreational events/activities build community culture, without which we would become a gathering of no bodies

Question 5 Comments/Remarks• Not using the roads in the winter – suggestion is to pave on Diamond

Lake Road

• Roads need to be sanded better

• Major signs are obstructed by grass and brush, and then later snowbanks

• Snow Removal – would be nice if roads could be plowed before BUSES run in the a.m.; and would be even better if done before people go to work in the a.m. Not sure why we are the only township who’s roads get plowed so late in the day

• Prior to last winter “very satisfied” – but last winter, it seemed like the Roads crew had been given a different standard to work too

Question 6The Township has been successful in diverting 191 tons of recycling away

from our landfill site and therefore have extended its life. Do you appreciate the value of the use of Clear Bags?

Question 6 Comments/Remarks

• But everyone does not. Why should I buy Clear Bags?• What is the value of Clear Bags, as to the use of regular green bags?• The workers at the dump are excellent, much better then years ago.

Finally helpful and great attitude • It has just created more garbage on the roads• They still see garbage (recycling) being placed in the wrong bins.

More assertive education is required• Have bins in place at landfill for metals (copper, aluminum etc.)

instead of it going out of the gate• No point in having policy, unless it is monitored and compliance

enforced• Not sure if it has much value, recyclable items still going into landfill,

and people who are going to recycle will do so, regardless of bag colour

Question 7 Comments/Remarks

• Has this By-Law ever been upheld? And why not?

• Sort-of? Not sure how it is being applied?

• Only By-Law posted on your website but what is being done about it? Why have a By-

Law that is not enforced?

• Maybe try to enforcing them

• Clean up this town, yards are terrible. Roads blocked by vehicles. Wake up and tell the

homeowners

• Not sure

• Enforce the By-Law now

• Has the benefits (income) from this program outweigh the costs of enforcement?

• A very failed policy

• Needs to be better enforced
