Question 1

The graph here shows that more females have answered the survey than male people, this is not necessarily to say male people would not buy my magazine, it just means more women took their time out of their lives to fill the survey in. This may not necessarily hugely influence the design of my magazine but it should have some effect.

Question 2

My graph shows that most people who answered my survey were 25+. This means I should write my magazine in a more sophisticated tone for my audience. However just because the people who answered the survey were 25+ does not mean that my audience would be 25+ people but the information gathered does reflect to how old they are.

Question 4

The results I have gathered from this question show that I should include a subscription slip into my magazine so that people have an option to subscribe. Obviously the retail price and frequency of the magazine release will have to determine the subscription price, whether there are different price options: per month, every three months, annually.

Question’s 3+5

These results are split evenly between £1.00-£2.00 and £2.01-£3.00 so my price will fit in-between these two price ranges for my audience. So probably around £2.50 because if the quality of the magazine is good, the people not wanting to pay that might try it out could end up thinking the price is worth it. Also because a lot of employed people answered my survey I think the maximum price some people might pay is higher than students may have put

Question 6

The results of this survey question show that my feature article and front cover picture should be about a solo artist as this is what people have filled out their answers in the survey. I have suspicions that the people who picked the groups like One Direction.

Question 7

This question result shows to me how my page should be laid out for my audience. A lot of people prefer to see the double page spread layout as a question and answer interview question style write meaning this is how I should consider laying out my double page spread. However it is only a 60-40% divide, which considering the numbers is not a big number.

Question 8

With this question it shows that with my magazine I should offer a free gift to my audience, I should, however, make sure they are not useless and end up in the bottom of a drawer straight away. It needs to be something a company could make a profit on but of decent quality

Question 9

These results show me that I should take my picture in a natural setting, this is more difficult than in a studio as you have to wait for perfect natural lighting to suit the audience I need to meet the needs of. I also need to find the correct colours in a natural setting for my audience. This maybe difficult in winter for a pop magazine

Question 10

The final question asks the participants of the survey about contents layout. The results have shown that the pages should be set in numerical order not in categories of what each page involves. 80% of the answers were in favour of this so it is something I need to strongly consider
