New Chamber Membership Option
‘Aspiring Entrepreneur’ junior membership open to young go-getters Most of us are familiar with names like Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Sam Walton, all of whom started their businesses in their late teens or early 20’s. The Orion Area Chamber of Commerce hopes to foster the same entrepre-neurial spirit in young business owners in the Lake Orion com-munity through their new junior membership option. The option is open to entrepreneurs ages 12 to 25 and includes all the benefits of a
Chamber membership, along with some exclusive perks.
Aspiring Entrepreneur members have the opportunity to network with Lake Orion’s most success-ful entrepreneurs and business owners at monthly luncheons and breakfast meetings. Through this networking, junior members have the opportunity to meet men-tors, who sponsor junior chamber members and provide guidance and advice. These young business
people also receive access to advice from local leaders in legal, finan-cial, marketing and advertising fields through their membership.
These experts can help junior members start, expand, or pro-mote their businesses.
In addition to these benefits, being a junior chamber member also offers the opportunity to give back to the community by serving on committees that implement strat-egies for strengthening Lake Orion and its business environment. By taking advantage of all of these opportunities, young entrepreneur members will also be eligible for earn the “Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award” presented at the Chamber’s annual award cere-mony, which is an excellent resume builder.
Through this new membership option and the opportunities afforded by it, the Chamber hopes to play a significant role in build-ing tomorrow’s community and business leaders.
Ready to take your business to the next level? Become an
Aspiring Entrepreneur member at orionareachamber.com.
