specific user There are different logical channels in question:
BCCH, PCCH, CCCH, Common Channels can be also used to transmit DTCH
or DCCH. Those logical channels are UE specific. However for small
amount of data those can be transmitted via FACH and RACH.

channelsDefinitionsThere are following Common Logical Channels
defined:The Broadcast Control Channel (BCCH) is a downlink channel
for broadcasting system control information. Check WBTS_CP_9372 for
list of supported System Information Blocks (SIB).The Paging
Control Channel (PCCH) A downlink channel that transfers paging
information. This channel is used when the network does not know
the location cell of the UE, or, the UE is in the cell connected
stateThe Common Control Channel (CCCH) is a bi-directional channel
for transmitting control information between network and UEs. This
channel is commonly used by the UEs having no radio connection with
the network and by the UEs using common transport channels when
accessing a new cell after cell reselection. Basically: various RRC
things. The Common Traffic Channel (CTCH) is a point-to-multipoint
unidirectional downlink channel for transfer of dedicated user
information for all or a group of specified MSs.The MBMS
point-to-multipoint Traffic Channel (MTCH) is a point-to-multipoint
downlink channel used for transmitting traffic data from the
network to the UE. This channel is only used for MBMS.The MBMS
point-to-multipoint Control Channel (MCCH) is a point-to multipoint
downlink channel used for transmitting control information from the
network to the UE. This channel is only used by UEs that receive
MBMS.The MBMS point-to-multipoint Scheduling Channel (MSCH) is a
point-to-multipoint downlink channel used for transmitting
scheduling control information, from the network to the UE, for one
or several MTCHs carried on a CCTrCH. This channel is only used by
UEs that receive MBMS.Note: MBMS is not supported by NSN. So MTCH,
MCCH and MSCH above are pure theory for us

transport channelsDefinitionsThere are following Common Transport
Channels defined:The Broadcast Channel (BCH) is a transport channel
that is used to transmit information specific to the UTRA network
or for a given cell i.e. the logical Broadcast Control Channel
(BCCH). The most typical data needed in every network is the
available random access codes and access slots in the cell or the
types of transmit diversity methods used with other channels for
that cell. As the terminal cannot register to the cell without the
possibility of decoding the broadcast channel, this channel is
needed for transmission with relatively high power in order to
reach all the users within the intended coverage area. From a
practical point of view the information rate on the broadcast
channel is limited by the ability of low-end terminals to decode
the data rate of the broadcast channel, resulting in a low and
fixed data rate for UTRA broadcast channel. The Forward Access
Channel (FACH) is a downlink transport channel that carries
information to terminals known to locate in the given cell. The
most universal of common transport channels. Can carry
point-to-multipoint control and user data, MBMS or dedicated data
(SRB, small PS data). The Paging Channel (PCH) is a downlink
transport channel that carries data relevant to the paging
procedure, that is, when network wants to initiate communication
with the terminal (the logical Paging Control Channel PCCH).The
Random Access Channel (RACH) is an uplink transport channel
intended to be used to carry control information from the terminal,
such as requests to set up connection. It can also be used to send
small amounts of packet data from the terminal to the network.Dept.

physical channelsDefinitionsThere are following Common Physical
Channels defined:Primary Common Control Physical Channel (P-CCPCH)
is a fixed rate (30 kbps, SF=256) downlink physical channels used
to carry the transport Broadcast Channel (BCH). The channelization
code for the Primary CCPCH is fixed to Cch,256,1 Secondary Common
Control Physical Channel (S-CCPCH) is used to carry the transport
Forward Access Channel (FACH) and transport Paging Channel (PCH).
Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) that is used to carry the
transport Random Access Channel (RACH). The PRACH carries
information related to the random access procedure. With this
procedure the UE accesses to the network and also small user data
amounts or higher layer signaling can be transferred.
Note that physical channels like CPICH or SCH are out of scope
of Supported Common Channels configurations category. This is
because those are internal channels transmitted autonomously by
BTS. There is no transport of logical channels attached to those
physical channelsDept. / Author / DateR 255 G 204 B 0R 255 G 130 B

DOORSHints for survivalDept. / Author / DateIf you check
requirements like: WBTS_UP_6155 or 6205 or 6255 or other, you may
find there a table of the structure similar to the following.
Range in 3GPP shows the total range of the specific parameter
EVER allowed. This is not for any CCH. Just ignore it.
Range in RAN0405. Sorry but I still dont know what it is for.
Ancient history?
Default value -> thats what youre looking for! Thats what BTS
actually support for this CCH. R 255 G 204 B 0R 255 G 130 B 0R 127

The idea of the feature is to move the traffic from FACH and PCH
to HS-DSCH and from RACH to E-DCH.
This feature was not described/mentioned in common channels
configurations. Reason: neither HS-DSCH or HS-PDSCH classifies for
the category. But maybe it should be re-considered?
