Sun Ray 4.0 Web Administration1.) Logging in to Sun Ray web
administration page.
Open a web browser and point to http://192.168.10.2:1660Note:
192.168.10.2 is the IP address of the Sun Ray Server and 1660 is
the default port.
Type the username, and click OK.
Type the password, and click OK
2.) Servers Tab
This page lists all Sun Ray servers with the same group
signature (Fail Over Group). Click on the server names to display
additional details.
3.) Sessions Tab
This page lists all Sun Ray sessions. To use the Search function
to look for sessions on a specific server, select the server name
from the drop-down menu and enter a search string in the text
field. Click the Search button to view the sessions that match
these search parameters.
4.) Desktop Units Tab
This page lists all registered desktop units (DTUs). To use the
Search function to look for DTUs of a specific type, such as token
readers or multihead groups, select the type of DTU to search for
from the drop-down menu and enter a search string in the text
field. Click the Search button to view the DTUs that match these
search parameters.
5.) Tokens Tab
This page lists all registered tokens. To use the Search
function to look for specific tokens, such as currently used
tokens, select the type of token to search for from the drop-down
menu and enter a search string in the text field. Click the Search
button to view the tokens that match these search parameters.
6a.) Advanced Tab (Security Sub-Tab)Use this page to configure
encryption and authentication between client and server and to
enable or disable devices globally.
6b.) Advanced Tab (System Policy Sub-Tab)
This page allows you to configure group-wide policies. Some
policy settings combinations are not allowed, and the settings are
disabled accordingly to enforce these rules. For example, it is not
possible to completely disable access for smart card and non-smart
card users at the same time. Click on More on System Policy for
additional details.
6c.) Advanced Tab (Kiosk Mode Sub-Tab)
This page allows you to limit the user's desktop to certain
session types (for example, full-screen Windows Connector session,
JDS or CDE desktop session) or applications.
6d.) Advanced Tab (Card Probe Order Sub-Tab)
This page lists all smart card types configured in the Sun Ray
data store in the specified probe order. Changes on this page
require Sun Ray services to be restarted.
6e.) Advanced Tab (Data Store Password Sub-Tab)
This page allows you to change the password of the
administrative user for privileged access to the Sun Ray data
store.
7a.) Log Files Tab (Messages Sub-Tab)
This page lists system events. The log files are stored under
/var/opt/SUNWut/log and are archived daily.
7b.) Log Files Tab (Authentication Sub-Tab)
This page lists events from the Authentication Manager. The log
files are stored under /var/opt/SUNWut/log and are archived
whenever the Authentication Manager is restarted.
7c.) Log Files (Administration Sub-Tab)
This page lists operations performed during server
administration. The log files are stored under /var/opt/SUNWut/log
and are archived daily.
7d.) Log Files (Mount Sub-Tab)
This page lists mount messages from mass storage devices. The
log files are stored under /var/opt/SUNWut/log and are archived
whenever the mounter service is restarted.
