Pour assurer un plancher de qualité haut de gamme dont les carreaux soient surélevés en toute sécurité, Mirage préconise aussi de positionner un vérin au centre du carreau de 60x60 pendant toute la durée des opérations de pose, de façon à répartir correctement les contraintes imposées au plan de piétinement par des charges de différentes natures.Il est toutefois possible de poser des dalles de 60x60 en 20 mm d’épaisseur à des hauteurs de plus de 10 cm à condition de coller sur la partie inférieure du carreau un filet en fibre de verre ou une feuille de tôle galvanisée, selon la hauteur nécessaire.
