A sti-pend is provided for those couples whom are selected for this role.To find out more information, review the require-ments , and/or to apply for either of the roles, visit the Family Life website atNYFamilylife.org/About/WorkingWithUs.

HOLY NAME SOCIETY NEWS:2017 MEMORIAL CHRISTMAS TREES

The Holy Name Society is sponsoring the placing of Christ-mas trees for the upcoming season. Parishioners wishing to honor the memory of a loved one can purchase these trees which will be placed in the island in front of the entrance of the Church, along the side of the Church and in the grassy area along Watchogue Rd. The trees will be decorated with lights ONLY to maintain a neat and uniform appearance. A laminated sign with the name of the loved one will be dis-played on the tree. A nativity scene will also be displayed in front of the Church. The cost of each tree will be $200 and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Forms are available in the lobby. Parishioners wishing to purchase a tree should complete the form and submit it with their pay-ment to the rectory. Checks should be made payable to the Holy Name Society.

4TH ANNUAL DOOWOP DINNER DANCE DECEMBER 9TH

Come join us on Saturday, December 9th, from 6 to 11pm, in the Monsignor Glynn Center for Holy Family’s 4th Annu-al DooWop Dinner Dance sponsored by the Holy Name So-ciety. Featured this year will be the Tuesday @ Eight band, the 360 Entertainment DJ and Jenna Esposito & Her Band singing the songs of Connie Francis. A memora-ble evening is guaranteed for all. The cost is $50 per person and includes hot catered food, beer, wine, soda, coffee, tea and dessert. 50/50 tickets and raffle tickets will be sold at the event. Admission tickets can be purchased at the Recto-ry during business hours or in the lobby of the Church before and after each Mass. Don’t wait till the last minute to buy tickets and get shut out. Last year’s dance was sold out with over 300 attendees.Thank you for your continued support!

TOYS NEEDEDAs Christmas approaches we ask our parishioners to keep the less fortunate in mind and if possible assist them by donating a new unwrapped toy. It’s very heart warming to realize that these donations will find their way to children that might not have a present to open on Christmas morning. On behalf of the brotherhood of the HNS (Holy Name Society), we thank you in advance for your wonderful donations and know that you will bring a smile to a child’s face. Please call Arthur Borik, HNS secretary, at 7187206379 if you have any questions. Donations start this weekend and ends Tuesday, December 19th. Please place new unwrapped toys in the Christmas box in the lobby.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDEDThe Cross Roads Foundation is in need of volunteers in all areas of our prolife ministry including advisory clients, as-sisting in our “Mommy Store,” picking up donations and preparing mailings. Volunteer weekly, monthly or on an oc-casional basis. For more information, please call Kimberly Carbonaro at 7185563474 or email [email protected].
