STEWARDSHIP Sunday, March 20, 2016
They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous and ready to share, thus storing
up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future…. (2 Tim. 6: 18-19)
Today, the beginning of Holy Week, we remember Jesus’ entrance into
Jerusalem, during which He was proclaimed the Messiah with shouts of Hosanna
as He rode on a donkey. The people used Palms to wave at Jesus and cover the
road, as a sign of honouring Him.
Today, we also honour Jesus by proclaiming Him as our Lord and Saviour. Each
week we honour Jesus by the gifts we generously give, which enable St.
Barnabas to proclaim the Good News of God’s redemption of humanity all year
