We are excited about her getting the opportunity to play again this season. This past Fall I was asked to coach a team and after a little consideration I decided to give it a try. I must say it was a lot of fun coaching Grace’s team. Some rather crazy things happened during the season. I was the head coach and pitcher for our team. On one occasion I pitched the ball underhanded and hit our player. It was a laughable event AFTER the game when she said [after I had given the pep talk about not swinging at bad pitches] “Coach, I didn’t swing at the one that hit me.” Pour thing! I apologized to her parents and they were laughing too, so all is good. We had about 5 players on our team that had never played softball. Yes, I was the new coach that got the new kids. But it was great. We had a great team and a great group of girls. It was a great way to share Jesus with each of them in a very subtle way. Addison wasn’t the only one that has asked if I am going to coach again this year. Yesterday we signed Grace up for Spring softball. We are excited about her getting the opportunity to play again this season. This past Fall I was asked to coach a team and after a little consideration I decided to give it a try. I must say it was a lot of fun coaching Grace’s team.
Some rather crazy things happened during the season. I was the head coach and pitcher for our team. On one occasion I pitched the ball underhanded and hit our player.
