Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5:10-12) Last Sunday, I shared about the persecution some of our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world are experi-encing. I want to encourage you to be informed and to pray for these believers as they suffer for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While we experience mild persecution at times in the United States, there are Christians around the world that die every day for the Gospel. God calls us to pray for these brothers and sisters as they suffer (Hebrews 13:3). A great resource that helps us know how to pray and who to pray for is Voice of the Martyrs (www.persecution.com). I encourage every believer to support this ministry. Please join me in praying for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are dying for their faith.
