PARKES PEAK HILL BINDOGUNDRA REEDY CREEK All Saints Day

Anglican Parish of Parkes – parkesanglican.org

From the Rectory:

When do we get enthusiastic about what lies ahead? Let’s be like the Apostle Paul and his church in Thessalonica. Last week the wonderful announcement of our Natalie Quince being ordained Deacon on the 2nd December at 11am at All Saints Cathedral, Bath-urst. This is an exciting time for the Quince family. A time of tran-sition for Natalie as she begins her formation to be Priested next year. So, because of the wide vari-ety of ministries Natalie, at the Bishop’s request, will be men-tored by Rev’d Crystal at Forbes, Cumnock & Northside Chapel. We as a church are proud to be prayerfully sending Natalie into ministry as she shares her God given gifts & the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the wider community. Nat will continue her role as Manager of Anglicare Parkes and as such will still have an input into the parish of Parkes. As Paul, Silas and Timothy were praying for the new church in Thessalonica, we as a church will continue uphold Natalie, Jay and the boys in prayer at this exciting time; Jay, Sam & Finn will contin-ue to attend St George’s.

As we step out into another new path here at St George’s, seeking God’s direction for the future, discerning prayerfully the way forward for ministry and looking at our own ministry and part we play within the body of Christ, may we grow in own our church in love and purpose. This is a moti-vating time as the Lord leads us into a new season.

Blessings

Fr Ron

Study Questions

1. In the course of your spiritual growth, who has provided you with the

biggest spiritual lift in your quest for maturity (3:1-2)?

2. Do we understand that suffering and trials are a part of the Christian life

(3:3-4)? How have you suffered for the cause of Christ?

3. Why is mutual love and respect between leaders and church members so

important (3:6-8)?

4. Like Paul, do we pray “night and day” for opportunities to help others

mature in Christ? (3:10)?

5. How does love for all the believers in God’s family prepare you for a good

showing at the judgment seat of Christ (3:13)?

Pastoral Care Do you need a visit at home,

nursing homes or in hospital, fill out the

connect form return on the collection

plate so it can be forwarded on to one of

the team? If it is to be a private visit for

some reason call the church office or
