Our induction for mentors and NQTs will take place on: 22nd September @ 3.45pm By combining our services, expertise and networks together, Charter and Connect TS will offer a greater range of phase specialists to support training, development and to meet the needs of NQTs and early career teachers. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported Connect over the last year, through collaboration, professional support, membership and participation. In response to Covid 19 we have established new delivery models. For the first half of the Autumn Term all delivery will be remote – live and/or recorded. Additionally we will develop models which are blended, flexible and bespoke to schools and localities. As conditions allow we will continue to provide face to face sessions but there will be a variety of venues used. We have further strengthened our partnership with Charter TSA to meet our moral purpose in supporting teachers new to the profession, both NQTs and RQTs. We are looking forward, with your continued support, to making 2020/21 even better. 2020/21 Subject Leader and CPD bookings We are now taking bookings for all of our courses next year. We are pleased to be able to continue to provide free access to English, Maths, Science, EYFS and HeadteachersNetworking and cluster opportunities as well as a discount on paid events for our members. As a self-sustaining, local collective our Alliance puts all funds raised back into the Alliance offer to schools. Design & Technology Wednesday 23rd September 2020

9.30am—3.30pm

Led by Ryan Ball, Primary Lead and Curriculum Trainer.

This full day course is for anyone planning and

delivering D&T in a primary school. You will trial a range

of practical strategies that can be used back at school

This course is for anyone leading D&T in a primary

school.

Cost: £100 per delegate. (10% discount is available to

Alliance Members).

Geography Curriculum Training for Subject

Leaders and Teachers Wednesday 14th October 2020

9.00am—3.30pm

Trainer is Jon Cannell who is a Primary Curriculum

Leader at the Geographical Association. Join us to

develop your understanding of geography’s core skills

and knowledge.

Morning session: exploring how to stimulate geographical learning

that is relevant, authentic and progressive in order to raise the

standard of teaching and learning in the subject

Afternoon session: will further examine how real world geography

engages pupils in their own learning by getting outside the

classroom and engaging in a range of quick and easy fieldwork

ideas.

Cost: £100 for all day or £50 for either morning or

afternoon session. (10% discount is available to Alliance

Members).
