Dear Parents and Pre-Collegians:

Summer Study Programs is thrilled to offer two exciting, action packed pre-college programs at the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of Vermont (Burlington, VT). Experience a summer like never before...whether traveling west to experience the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains or northeast to the awe inspiring shores of picturesque Lake Champlain... The Choice is Yours! Both universities can boast of world renowned faculty, incomparable campuses nestled in exciting college towns, fantastic recreationalfacilities and majestically scenic locations...your Summer Study experience will be unparalleled. Theseexceptional programs provide environments that are academically challenging, yet filled with new experiences and opportunities for social, athletic and recreational excitement.

Summer Study Programs is pleased to offer pre-college experiences where students havethe opportunity to flourish in two environments that are revered for their art, culture, healthy lifestyle and outdoor recreation. We take pride in the fact that attention isgiven to each individual student in programs that offer “something for everyone.”

A summer at CU-Boulder or UVM offers qualified high school students completing 9th,10th, 11th or 12th grade the option of taking a variety of career exploration classes, community service based workshops, the Kaplan SAT or ACT prep courses, college creditcourses and more! All students have the unique opportunity to experience college life in a“non-pressured” atmosphere. Our staff members are dedicated to the programs 24 hoursa day to help ensure that our students SUCCEED! Time management, independence, andcommunity style living are just a few of the crucial life skills students will learn thissummer…a great head start on college life.

Each weekend at CU-Boulder, students will travel to exciting and breathtaking locations such as Estes Park,Rocky Mountain National Park, Pikes Peak, and Colorado Springs. See the majestic Red Rock formationsof the Garden of the Gods, the United States Olympic Training Center and the posh ski resorts of Vailand Breckenridge, winter homes to international ski enthusiasts! For those who prefer the Northeast, weekends on our UVM program will take us to visit Boston, Mt. Stowe Resort, overnight camping, Six Flags: Great Escape at Lake George, Harvard, BostonCollege and more! Our EXCLUSIVE CONCEPT of weekend travel is included in theprogram fee and eliminates the “on-campus” boredom factor prevalent in mostcollege summer programs (see pages 10 – 11 and 17 for complete details).

There is a difference in pre-college programs! We are proud that more high schoolstudents choose a SUMMER STUDY program than any other college campus program. We invite you to ask previous participants why Summer Study stands out as the #1 program of choice.

We thank you for your interest in Summer Study at CU-Boulder and UVM and lookforward to having you apply. We pledge to continue to maintain the highest qualityand most outstanding, well-supervised student summer programs, a trademark ofSummer Study Programs.
