Summer Project: A Testing Ground Business School students across the globe undergo a Summer Internship in the industry.

Positioned between the first and second year, the Project is the most effective aid to test,

validate and challenge the class room learning. During this period, the students act as

“In- house Consultants” who own and solve pertinent problems.

The Summer Project presents a remarkable opportunity for a student to truly personalize

his education as he makes connections and gains experience in his chosen field of

interest. The organization, in turn benefits from the objective and unbiased perspective

the student provides based on concepts and skills imbibed in the first year at the

institute.

Summer Project Contest – The Event Prerana Summer Project Contest, which constitutes the genesis of Prerana, was

conceived to provide an opportunity to all the budding managers to take the very first

step towards proving their mettle and fulfilling their ambitions. NITIE was the first B-

School to moot such an event in 1995. Over the years, it has grown to epic proportions,

attracting the brightest talent from B-schools across India to showcase the excellence

achieved during their Summer Internship stint and bench-mark their project against the

very best in the five functions of Management.

This popular and prestigious competition is one of the most important events in the

calendar of B-Schools across India and is widely attended by MBA students and industry

alike.
