PRE-COLLEGE SUMMER PROGRAMSThe Rutgers University–New Brunswick Office of Summer & Winter Sessions offers a variety of programs for pre-college students, ranging from credit courses for students who want to get a jump-start on their college degree, to in-person and online test preparation for the SAT and ACT. Summer Scholars ProgramChallenge yourself by taking up to two college courses. Choose from over 150 introductory-level courses in a wide range of subjects offered through the Rutgers–New Brunswick Summer Session. This program includes a June orientation, campus tours, a series of college success workshops, and a certificate ceremony.
For High School Students
High school students with a minimum 3.0 GPA, ages 16 or older, can apply.
For Gifted Youth
Gifted students under age 16 will be considered for the Summer Scholars Program on a case-by-case basis. Standardized test scores and an interview are additional requirements.

ScholarshipsYou can apply for merit- and need-based scholarships when you submit your application for the Summer Scholars Program and the Pre-College Summer Academies. Summer Scholars and Summer Academy participants who register for a Rutgers Test Prep workshop will receive a $50 scholarship toward their test prep fee.
Rutgers Test PrepLearn proven strategies for taking the SAT and/or ACT and gain the assurance and skills needed to optimize your performance. Choose from in-person and online formats, and Test Prep Blitz and Summer Institute schedules.

Pre-College Summer Academies Experience campus life and learn about a field of interest in an intensive, weeklong, residential certificate program.
