Design Thinking – Definitions
Design Thinking is a method of solving problems that is fluid and open for the duration of the problem it is applied to.
Design Thinking ... is a discipline that uses the designer’s sensibility and methods to match people’s needs with what is technically feasible and what a viable business strategy can convert into customer value and market opportunity.
In this regard it is a form of solution-based, or solution-focused thinking that starts with the goal or what is meant to be achieved instead of starting with a certain problem

There’s the chance to create an amazing alumni experience that’s more than just a magazine or newsletter. She’s young, but when she graduates she can become your best marketing tool.
Student success stories, we’ve heard this many times from usability testing, persona interviews, to even school administrators wanting individuals (stories).

ACC calculates the levies paid by all employers, shareholder employers and self-employed people by using a few key pieces of customer information
One of these is the levy payer’s Business Industry Classification (BIC), a code that reflects the activity they are involved in
To determine or verify their BIC codes, levy payers are referred (linked from an IR GST Registration form for e.g) to the BIC website

User feedback:
“This website does not work!!!! Can I please be directed to a list of codes so I can decide where my business fits.”
“I am a very experienced businessman and this site is completely unintelligible. It is impossible for me to find a Business Industry Description for one of my businesses - this is holding me up from GST registration and taking up much management time in red tape. My business markets and distributes water tanks which it has contract manufactured in NZ.”

Reassurance + confidence - use users jobs | day to day examples to help them choose code
Transparency - this code goes to/is ised for - who are you, trust
Don’t be scary, it’s quick + easy - It’s one session, it’s for reference only
Helpful - wizard, answer questions, step by step

Company doesn’t exist. Yet. This
website is a product of Sparkbox’s Build
Responsively workshop. Dress
Responsively was originally built as a
mock project to create working files and
content for the workshop’s attendees.
But then we got to thinking.
What standards-loving, responsively-
building, media-querying web citizens
wouldn’t love some apparel which flies
the flag of the future of the web? Let’s
turn it over to the people.
So here we are. If we are able to stump
for enough interest, tweets, and votes
for this geekwear, we’ll print up the
winner and make it available. Check out
the shirt designs, vote for your
frontrunner, and pass us along to your
friends. Democracy at work, folks. It’s
either that or mob rule, whichever comes
first. Either way, we all get sweet shirts
out of it.
