Not every food is love at first bite. It can take up to 7 to 10 tries before your child will like a new type of food, so keep trying it! Together we are making Okaloosa County a Healthier Place to Live, Learn, Work and Play! Limit recreational screen time to two hours or less each day. A great way to reduce screen time is by getting outside! The backyard provides a wonderful ecosystem for kids to study. Search your plants and yard for living creatures, such as insects, birds, fungi, worms, and more! Record the wildlife you find and keep track of how it changes over time. This is a great way to discover our environment.
