BASIC ALGEBRA Ages 9-11 This class is designed for students going into the 4th or 5th grades. For this class, students must know their multiplication, division, addition and subtraction and have passed math facts. MAKE YOUR FIRST VIDEO GAME Ages 8-11

If you love playing video games, this is the class for you! Make your first video game in this one-of-a-kind class that shows you the keys to designing your first 2D platformer game. Conceptualization, play experience, level design, graphics, sounds, and simple coding are just some of the concepts that we’ll explore. No prior experience necessary, just a desire to have fun. Student created games will be available on a password protected Black Rock-et website to share with friends and family. Games are only compatible on PC computers, Mac versions can be created after the program for $15.00 conversion fee. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. If you love the game Minecraft, and always wanted to design your own world, this class is for you! Cooking We strongly recommend that if your child has a food allergy that they do not take cook-ing classes. There are several cooking classes held in the cooking room so even if your teacher is aware that there is an allergy it’s possible that the previous teacher used something that your child is allergic to. CUPCAKE DECORATING Ages 8+ Decorate your own cupcakes and special occasion cakes. In this class, you will learn the basics of cake decoration. Assigned weeks you will bring your cupcakes with you to class, decorate them, and take them home for your family and friends to enjoy. You will learn how to create a resume, interview skills, professional dress for success, the proper way to fill out an application, money management and much more. Through this course, you will engage in career assessments, mock interviews, and skills to work with a team. A large part of your day will be spent building your resume through your own work experience by helping teachers in Summer Fun classes and learning what it takes to be a great employee. TERMS AND CONDITIONS of Summer Fun

Summer Fun Safety Your child’s safety is our number one priority. Every Summer Fun employee is part of the Clovis Uni-fied School District and has fingerprint clearance. As long as your child is enrolled in back to back classes your child will be supervised during the time of Summer Fun. Please make sure there are no gaps in your child’s schedule. No child is allowed to ‘hang out’ unsupervised in between classes. We have classroom aides that help the students get from class to class.

Drop Off and Pick Up You must drop off your child at the classroom door of his or her first class and pick up your child at the classroom door of his or her last class. FOR YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY there is no parking lot drop offs. There is no supervision once your child leaves his or her last class. Please make necessary ar-rangements to follow our pick up/drop off policies.

Snacks and Breaks Teachers have allowed time in their lessons for snacks and breaks. Your child can bring a snack/lunch to Summer Fun.

Allergies/Medical If your child has allergies please inform all of his/her teachers and the Summer Fun office. In case of illness or other emergency, when parent/guardian is unavailable, by agreeing to the terms and condi-tions of Summer Fun the parent/guardian hereby authorizes a representative of the school to make such arrangements as he/she deems necessary for the child to receive medical or hospital care, includ-ing transportation. Under such circumstances parent/guardian further authorizes a physician to un-dertake such care and treatment of the child as needed. If your child has a food allergy we strongly recommend that he/she does not take cooking classes.

Refunds and Transfers We have a NO REFUND policy and a NO TRANSFER policy. Please choose your classes carefully. If a class is cancelled by Summer Fun a full refund for the entire class fee will be processed. If there are unforeseen circumstances and a transfer is necessary, upon approval from the director a transfer fee of $25 per class will be required.

Tax Information Tax Id # 94-2840774. Your paid invoice will act as a record for tax purposes. Amounts reported for childcare for year-end tax purposes are the responsibility of the individual.

Late Pick Ups Children picked up late will be charged $10 for every 15 minutes after his or her last class. Excessive late pick ups could result in your child being removed from the program with a pro-rated refund.

Payments We accept MasterCard/Visa, Cash, and Checks payable to CUSD with Summer Fun in the memo line. There is a $25 processing fee for all returned checks.

Summer Fun Photos By agreeing to the terms and conditions of Summer Fun the parent/guardian gives permission for the child to be photographed during the course of Summer Fun. These photos may be used in future promotional materials for the Summer Fun program.
