BERTINI PARK
Through a collaboration with the Wallingford Parks & Recreation,
Camp Ulbrich will be utilizing Bertini Park to give our campers an
opportunity to get back to nature. Campers will be able to hike,
learn how to identify different plant species, build forts, and
participate in nature based projects. Bertini Park is just one more
enhancement that will give our campers a memorable summer.
ALL-STARS For campers entering grades 1-5
All-Stars is designed to give every camper a memorable and rewarding summer camp
experience. All-Stars is for children in grades 1-5 and runs in two week sessions from the end
of June through the middle of August. Throughout the day, campers will participate in a variety
of group activities, arts and crafts, and ―all camp‖ activities. Campers swim every day except
Field Trip days. In addition, to add a different spin to each session there will be a theme
around which activities will be based. Groups are kept small to help foster relationships and
memories that will last a lifetime.
ADVENTURTEENS For campers entering grades 6-9
Summer Camp for teenagers!
We know that once campers enter their teen years,
their needs and desires in a camp experience change.
AdventurTeens are provided with more independence,
greater challenges, increased responsibility and
outstanding staff to help guide them through the
summer months. They are constantly on the move
participating in group activities, weekly field trips,
swimming and hiking at Bertini Park. The
AdventurTeens also have full use of the Rotary/YMCA
Teen Center, where they can play pool, ping pong, or
just chill out. The goal of the AdventurTeen program is
to create an atmosphere where teens feel safe, valued
and free to express themselves. Register your teen
today.
C.I.T.’S Counselors-in-Training
For campers entering grades 10
This 4 week leadership training program is for teens entering 10th grade. Participants will
learn the skills needed to prepare them for going out into the workforce. Under the guidance
of the C.I.T. coordinator, participants will develop responsibility, teamwork, initiative, and the
confidence that is needed to work with people of all ages. C.I.T.s will learn First Aid and CPR,
group management and special activity skills all while having fun with other teens.
Interested participants need to fill out a C.I.T application for review. Selected candidates will
be called for an interview. Those selected will be evaluated at the end of the 4 weeks. If they
have received a positive evaluation, they will be invited to volunteer for an additional 2 week
session to gain valuable experience working directly with the camp groups.
