What should you expect from the program? The Erwin Center is designed to give students hands-on experience in creative brand building, digital strategies, emerging media and account management. Classes in the brand communications minor offer direct interaction with industry professionals who focus on strategic, digital and campaign planning, social content and creative brand building to achieve business objectives. How do I plan my minor? All minors are required to take the introductory Survey of Brand Communications course (GC 3700) and one of the two recommended strategic brand building courses (GC 3740 Section 1 or GC 4900 Section 10) paired with six additional credits and the final Capstone Course. 15 credit hours are required for the Brand Communications minor. What classes do I take? Are you more interested in brand strategy, account and client management and brand planning or are you interested in creative conceptual strategies, big ideas, copywriting and design & production? The Erwin Center for Brand Communications has 15 courses in a range of subjects for any interest in the field, but we’ve designed 2 tracks to help you map out your time in the program.
