Guitar Jam Camp Discover what you can do with your guitar! Learn how to play chords and pick, while learning to play songs as a group. Campers will also enjoy other games and activities with “Celebrate... A Rock & Roll Tour.” Full Day Ages 7-14

August 1 - 5 Celebrate... Island Getaways! Travel across the Pacific to the tropical islands like Hawaii and Fiji. The natural beauty of these lands inspires colorful creations, beach dances, and more. Full Day Ages 5-12 Half Day Ages 3-12

Dance Discovery Camp Explore popular styles of dance including hip hop, ballet, jazz, lyrical and modern while making friends and staying in shape.

9 Month Program: September - MayAges: 5-6 Morning kindergartners will continue their day of learning through arts-enriched activities and lessons. Through a curriculum developed by a certifi ed teacher and arts activities with profes-sional Teaching Artists, students will reinforce concepts taught in Kindergarten while expanding their creativity. Students may take the bus from Concord Elemen-tary to Darlington to arrive for Lunch Bunch at 11:45am!

TeensNew! Musical Theatre for TeensAges: 13 & up Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45pmAdd music to your dramatic journey! In this class, students are encouraged to enhance their creative side while developing their vocal, acting, and movement skills. Learn audition tips, voice techniques for traditional and contemporary styles, and how to create a character within a song. Students will build confidence singing solos in front of an audience. Chester Theater Arts ProgramThe Chester Theater Arts Program brings music, dance and drama training to children living in the city of Chester. Children perform works they have created twice a year for family and friends.

Suzuki ViolinDarlington offers Suzuki violin instruction to students from low-income communities. Our programs are held at Stetser Elementary School and Chester Charter School for the Arts in the city of Chester, and Chester County Family Academy in West Chester.

Improved Literacy Through Songwriting - School Residency Darlington Teaching Artists partner with Chester County Family Academy to improve their students’ literacy and encourage their creativity. Student enjoy performing their compositions at local venues and for family and friends

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for standing or support. Sizzlin’ Salsa Dance Workshop3 Mondays: 8/1, 8/8, & 8/14 7:30-8:30pmOpen to beginners and experienced dancers alike, this workshop will bring out the Latin rhythm in you! Fun and easy dance patterns will introduce you to Latin styles of ballroom dance. The teacher will introduce footwork, dance positions, techniques in leading and following as well as partner connection. Have fun getting close to your partner.
